A Good Skyrim Map
Have a look at the map below:

It's apparently a cleared up version of the super blury official map and it provides quite a bit of insight in how the province will be made up.

Bethesda confirmed that there would be atleast 10 buildings in each settlement and there would be five massive cities so already the interior count it looking to surpass that of Oblivion.

I'd presume the Marshy Tundra would look something like this and the volcanic Tundra to look something like this but colder.

We already know what the fall and pine forests look like from the trailers and the canyon area might just look like Hammerfell with know although that's just speculation.

Judging by this map:

They seem to have kept pretty much the same layout as Arena.

I'm looking forward to visiting Labyrinthian again. It would be neat if they kept the layout of the entry hall the same, at least Smile. Perhaps they could even have "The Tale of Two Brothers" from the puzzle carved into the wall? I doubt they'll stick much to the way it was in Arena, but it would be soooo neat if they at least kept *something* the same, eh?

edit: Through some scrounging, I managed to find the passage I was looking for Smile.

This is the tale of two brothers,
who sought the secret of life.
They ventured into this Labyrinthian,
weary from war and strife...

The first was Kanen the Elder,
a strong and cunning man.
He quested for riches and jewels,
yet found Fate had other plans...

The second was Mogrus the Dim,
and few knew what he was worth.
They saw only the lumbering giant,
not the child who was blessed at birth...

The few they told of their plans,
begged them to desist at their feet.
But the brothers would test this puzzle of the North,
for till then they had known no defeat...

This is the tale of two brothers,
who failed the secret of life.
Forever held by two riddles which lead to the prize,
and a wit as cunning, and sharp as a knife...

I love this little poem. It was one of my favorite pieces of writing from Arena Smile.

I really hope the Northen Cities actually feel very old.

Being the first places man set foot onto, Tamriel they should atleast have an ancient feel.

On an unrelated note Bethesda confirmed that Windhelm is the largest city, and considering it is on the road between Skyrim and Morrowind it could make the transition is TEV ST quite a bit easier.

If you have a look at the map there seems to be some writing just near the border with Morrowind.

I think it says "So the Greater?"

@Zurke

I don't think you need to worry.

It's looking like Bethesda have learnt their lessons from Oblivion.

I guess the really important thing would be some idea of the scale relative to Oblivion. Then we could start working out our heightmap...
