An Imperial Guide To The Cities of Morrowind WIP*
An Imperial Guide To The Cities of Morrowind Part 1: Vvardenfell
Scribed and written by Loremaster of the Imperial Palace -Name-

Vivec

Situated in the Ascadian Isles Region, Vivec is the largest city on Vvardenfell. Unlike most conventional cities, Vivec is not a collection of strutures built upon dry land. Rather, it is a collection of floating "Cantons", large structures more or less like artificial islands. Nine of the these Cantons make up Vivec.
Three of the Cantons are dediacted to three of the four houses that have holdings on Vvardenfell, Telvanni, Redoran and Hlauu. Two Cantons. St. Olms and St. Delyns are dedicated to saints of the Tribunal Temple. The Temple itself holds the southmost canton, which is also the home of Vivec himself.
Each canton is composed of several layers. The upmost layer, the Plaza is filled with shops, taverns and manors. Deeper inside the cantons, are the Waistworks. The Waistworks are a collection of cramped corridors leading into residences and cubs aswell as some shops. Even deeper into the Cantons are the Canalworks, which are home to the poor aswell as occasionally some services.
The lowest level of each Canton are the Underworks. The Underworks are a collection of sewers and pipes running beneath the city. It is only home to criminals and thieves and is best left alone.

Ald'ruhn

House Redorans largest settlement on Vvardenfell. Ald'ruhn is a cluster of homes and services on the western slopes of the Red Mountain.
Ald'ruhn is seperated into three districts. The first, the manor district is dug underneath the city itself. Mostly the wealthy reside here.
Secondly, upper Ald'ruhn is were most of the shops and services of the city lie. The area is at the top of a staircase leading down into lower Ald'ruhn which is were most of the population of the city lives. Both Guilds have halls in Lower Ald'ruhn. The silt strider is located at the northen end of the city, along the wall.

Balmora

Balmora is a Hlaalu town, situated in the West Gash region of Vvardenfell.
The city is split by a river winding through from the north and exiting at the south. On the eastern side of the river are many modest homes aswell as the notorious "South Wall Corner Club".
To the west of the river, much of the richer population lies aswell, as most of the services aswell as the guilds. The silt-strider port is on the western side of the river at the southern wall and just east of the gate.
The road south from Balmora leads to many smaller Imperial settlements such as Seyda Neen and Pelagiad but also winds even further south to Vivec.

Sadrith Mora

House Telvannis district seat, Sadrith Mora is medium sized island settlement just off the east coast of Vvardenfell.
Although the city is not overly open to foreigners the nearby Wolverine Hall offerrs Imperial Cult and Guild services. Located just south of Sadrith Mora. Dirty Muriel's Cornerclub offers beds and is home to several pawnborkers that will buy and sell general goods.

Caldera

Caldera is a small Imperial town located west of Ald'ruhn and north of Balmora. Built to service the nearby Ebony mine, Caldera offers several places to stay and an Imperial Cult altar for travellers in the region. The Mages guild has a hall situated here although the Fighters guild does not.

Ebonheart

Ebonheart is an Imperial fort just north of Vivec built to serve as the seat of Imperial power on Vvardenfell. In the centre portion of the city you can find Guild Halls, taverns, and many other Imperial services not found elsewhere.
To the west of the city lies the Imperial Grand Council hall connected to the main portion of the city by a large stone bridge.
From the eastern end of the city, taking a road to the north will lead you to Vivec, while the road to the east goes to Seyda Neen, and eventually Balmora.

WRITERS NOTE: This was just some rough draft I decided to do when I was bored one sunday afternoon. Guranteed to be mistakes somewhere within the text.

I see some writing errors, like Hlauu.

A few notes:
There are 5 houses.
Daedric cultists lives at the sewers of Vivec too. You can also find some storage places, graves and homes of criminals at the Canalworks.
You didn't mention the arena canton and the high fane, nor the Ministry of Truth (which is a flying rock).
There are no guild halls at Ebonheart, but it's an important place for the Imperial legion and Imperial cult. Those 2 faction offers their services.

House Dres does not have holdings on Vvardenfell.
I said: 3 of the 4 houses with holdings on Vvardenfell.

Also, isn't the reason the Daedric cults are situated in the underworks is that they are being persucuted by the tribunal temple. Therefore they need to find a fairly secretive location.
