Ancient Gate Imperial Guards

Howdy Yall

Ok so I am placing some guards in the Ancient Gate, I will be putting some imperial guards in and was thinking how we should dress them, I think the standard imperial guard(MW) outfit is a bit drap for an Ancient Gate guard, and should be a bit more formal. Wew can either go with what's allready available or we can come up with something different

any suggestions on what we should go with ?

Templar? Or a templar retext to make it silver instead of gold?

I don't thin Imperial guards should be there... I would think Redoran or Ordinators would be there... the Dunmer might get offended that the Imperials are taking overone of their strongholds....
or they will be pleased that the n'wah have made it a point to help defend the dunmer...

Based on the Lore I have read regarding the Ancient Gate, their is actually a strong imperial presence and is infact run by the empire. I wasn't going to overrun the place with Imperials though, I thought a few guards and a census office might workout fine.

oh ok, well that's fine... my knowledge on it is very little so I dunno... but it would make sense fo Imperialto want to control it for sure... they want to maintain access into Morrowind no doubt and keep track of the immigration and travel

Any suggestions on the armor for those guards? I tryed on several of the available armors and none looked fancy enough, I figured since it is an upper class place, the guard their should represent the best of the Empire in appearence. Most likely we will wind up re-texturing some of the Templar Armor
ADCK has done a real good job on re-textures of the furniture and flatware
and armor for julianos...I'll probalby hit him up for a try on the armor as well

I did consider looking for something in the PES downloads but then were adding stuff from someone else and I'd rather not do that

But he's kinda busy right now

Retextured Templar armour with maybe katanas as weapons, and give them some interesting shields that represent an elite unit. The clothing underneath should perhaps be really dark coloured (or black)? How do you think that would look?

Oh, and some more red. Maybe a red coat of arms on the shield, and the rest silver...

I think the templar armour will look good re-textured in gold or polished silver ( I hated polishing my boots) lol ....with matching shield, don't know how the katana will look though, I'll give it a look and see how it fits
I do like the dark cloths underneath idea

I think silver would look the best, and make the Templar red more dull... Then I think it'll look good, what do you think?

Thought this style of Helm might be nice, the color I mean, all the fancy gold stuff could go or stay

It could be replaced with the darker red, like a burgandy also on the cuirass but not on the greaves (the red)
