(Archived) Final Concepting of Stormhold Beta
I have been dragging my feet to get this beta ready. Catmando has gone off for a week so we might as well get it ready.
Collecting from the Stormhold Discussion
Here is what we have:
Kukulza'a concept-

and My layout-
[Image: stormhold6jg.jpg]

Kukulza introduced the stilt concept and I think its a great idea, especially if the Imperials and the rich are on higher stilts as if higher social priviledge. I do believe the stilts should not be too high (6 ft max) since they are not in the marsh yet.

I believe my layout should work well enough to have a few introductory quests. No kleptocracy in Stormhold so ignore that in the thread previously posted ^
Instead of kleptocracy, I think the rich should be paid by the Imperial Legion to keep the argonians in the area in submission.

This is the final thread for concepting our Stormhold beta. Post any new concepts for the city here or any other ideas.

Since we need to get a beta of stormhold out and no one seems to want concept, I will.
Here is the final layout of the Imperial part of Stormhold.

I've been thinking a lot about how the direction Stormhold has went and I think we may have overlooked something very important. Stormhold is very close to the border of Tamriel, a relatively above sea level landmass. I think we should save the stilts idea for another city. It's a great, unique idea but I don't think it should be used in Stormhold. If Stormhold has to have stilts then every town should. See what I'm saying?

I got insperiation from Ebonheart
It is a little more rustic, but...
ended up with this...
and this
The Upperclass really live on the higher ground
They are always prepared for unexpected floods
The water flows right down the streets
It all outlets here
Richer homes have stone stilts
It's evident in the architecture that Stormhold is floodproff
Think this forsest is unpenitrable? Think again...
Do theives hide in the dark rainy allies in the upperclass?
Perhaps these rainy streets will be filled one day... when Sweet-Dish Fish leads you there.
And see Stormhold through clear eyes.
But it never lasts long
Every rare once in a while the skys are clear over Stormhold...
You may even get a clear glimps at the lush that has grown here

I hoped you enjoyed the tour through Stormhold. I'm having some computer problems that disable me from tweaking it just perfect, but I hope the beta will be out soon. It will contain the Black Marsh ESM and the Quests ESP. We keep them seprate to avoid corruption in the master file. I have already ruined some dialog messing around with the master. I think I have it all worked out.
