That seems to have worked, thanks!!

Ok ill help ye out yes the handle i like but the blades seam to lack natural shadows and Depth say darken it and if ur usein photoshop'e make a new layer that you will draw some additive lines to make more depth by add an bevel emboise filter, Inner Bevel on the chisal soft seting, to it and make a overlay of the normal color over the emboised version should look snazy

It looks either low rez, or undetailed, I think that perhaps some work should be added to it in the detail department, or maybe just throw some sharpen filters on it to see how that looks.

Thoughts: On the texture: Perhaps you could try dulling the ruby texture a little, 'cause I think at the moment if you have this ingame anywhere other than the desert it will stick out like a sore thumb, either that or change the texture so its not quite so flat red, more variation in tone (I liked the the third one best out of the ones above).
On the model: I don't know what the polygon count is so performance wise this may not be possible, but could you try subdividing the faces that make up the spiky crystal bits on the handle and then work back to make them less uniform. At the moment thats the only bit that looks a bit odd. You might also try: 1. Making those spikes run into the blade so they look more part of the blade 2. Making the spikes more part of the handle (hilt?) and making it more obvious that the spikes are not part of the blade. Just my thoughts and some attempts at constructive criticism Edd EDITpelling
