Bless him! He was one of my favourite authors growing up. I read 'The Colour of Magic' when it was still pretty new and loved it! Of course, 'Mort' was easily the best of the early novels.

I'm sorry to hear the news. He was one of my favourite authors too when I was young. I thought the quality of the book series degraded the more books he wrote, but many of the first books are pure gems of comedy and wonder.
