An idea!
I've got an idea for this one. What if those dremoras, which were left in that desert, would feel, that Mehrunes Dagon betrayed them, leaving them behind. And so, they would seek favor of another Daedra prince.
I happen to read in some topic a few days ago, that dremora hate undead. Meridia hates undead too. So, maybe the quest should be to help that group of dremoras to make contact with Meridia and prove their loyalty to her. And after that they could serve her instead of Mehrunes Dagon. And about lending their services to Desert Corps. The could help the Legion in some campain against necromansers or vampire. And by the way also prove their loyalty to Meridia by fighting undead.
