[FG Quest]: Finale
Spoiler warning Big Grin
This is going to be the final FG quest, both modding-wise and playing-wise.

To understand what's going on, you'll probably want to read these threads:

Fighters Guild: Factions & Background
Fighters Guild: Quest Overview

(This was copied almost directly from my original notes, so it might not make 100% sense even after reading the other threads. If that's the case, feel free to ask questions in this thread)

Whichever quest-giver the player finishes with, the player will learn that Demnivi has an important contract that needs to be fulfilled. A Silgrad Councilor, also a collector, wants a powerful artifact. Unfortunately, it’s in a plane of Oblivion. With help from the Mages Guild, he was barely able to set up a portal to Oblivion and already sent three hired adventurers in there to find the artifact. It’s been a week, and they haven’t come back. He decided that the Fighters Guild might be more reliable. Demnivi thinks the player is the only capable and available warrior and sends him/her. The councilor summons the portal in the basement of the guildhall and sends the player through. The plane is huge, and will probably take a good couple of hours to finish. On returning, the player is in for a nasty surprise. The guildhall is on fire, some of the members and the Silgrad councilor are dead. The player hurries up the stairs to start the next stage of the finale.

Demnivi and one remaining Fighters Guild member, Rel (a companion on many FG contracts who has risen to the rank of Swordsman), are fighting for their lives against Camonna Tong agents. Once the agents are dead, Demnivi explains that while the player was gone something big happened. Because of the deaths of so many of his enemies, Hlervim Venim (leader of the CT in Redoran District) must have decided he’d concentrate his resources on finishing his enemies off once and for all in the Redoran district of Morrowind. These “enemies” included most of the current Fighters Guild. While Demnivi sees if he can find any allies or information, he sends the player to check up on the other guildhalls. Their status will depend on how the player followed the respective questlines.

The Steadhelm guildhall will be completely burned down if the player didn’t save that Bal Molagmer leader. The journal will say that no one in the Steadhelm guildhall is alive, and to move on. But if the player did make the pact by rescuing the BM leader, there will be two Bal Molagmer thieves and one non-essential guild member left who can be sent to Demnivi in Reich Parkeep. The guildhall will also still be intact.

In Silgrad City, the Silgrad Guardians are keeping people out of the entire district where the FG hall was. So the player will have to get by them somehow. The district looks like a battlefield – there are corpses and weapons on the ground. Most of the casualties will be Fighters Guild and Camonna Tong. The guildhall is even messier, and may take a strong stomach to look at. There will be only one hiding FG member if no deal with Thela Mornal’s own Camonna Tong thugs was made. The FG member will say that Hlervim Venim is in the city, and that they should sneak out of the district. If the player did make a pact with Thela Mornal, she will also be on the scene with an additional Fighters Guild member. Apparently, Hlervim Venim somehow knew of her deal with the Fighters Guild so she was effectively expelled and betrayed. In both cases, the player learns that Hlervim Venim is in the city, and at least one NPC can be sent to Reich Parkeep to help Demnivi.

Back in Reich Parkeep, Demnivi is very interested in the fact that Hlervim Venim is in Silgrad City. He also found some allies in the Silgrad Guardians who realize what the risks are if the Camonna Tong seizes total control of crime in the region. Already, there’s at least one Silgrad councilor dead - this isn’t just about the Fighters Guild. Demnivi says the Fighters Guild will rendezvous in Silgrad City with the Silgrad Guardians.

Once in Silgrad City, Demnivi talks to the player. Champion Giralvel Virith hasn’t showed up yet... if he were alive he would have appeared by that time. He promotes the player to Champion rank and talks about the future of the guild. The halls are destroyed… he’s the only steward left… really, there’s nothing left of the guild. If he dies while they are taking Hlervim Venim, he wants the player to put the guild back together again. But nothing can happen until the Camonna Tong is out of the way.

A Silgrad Guardian Captain briefs the group. The Silgrad Guardians have found a new Camonna Tong hideout in Silgrad City. The whole group will be raiding it. There are two known entrances to this underground complex, the Silgrad Guardians will be taking one, and the Fighters Guild will be taking the other.

Everything is pretty straightforward, the FG group goes in, fights, gets to a center chamber. The Silgrad Guardian group is already there, but unfortunately it is composed of only one survivor. He explains that all of the other Silgrad Guardians fell, and that he’ll join the FG group. In the final room, there will be a note addressed “to an old friend”. Demnivi reads the note, and concludes from its contents that Hlervim Venim is no longer in the city, but at a Daedric ruin in the Ashunor Valley. He passes the note to the player. Suddenly, a hidden assassin reveals himself, and stabs Demnivi. Demnivi dies. The player has to kill the assassin.

The Silgrad Guardian will leave to write a report on the event. Rel is the only fighter marked as essential, so she will survive no matter what. As she is the highest-ranking member (!), she will order any remaining members to go to the Silgrad guildhall and wait for orders there. She will ask the player if he/she needs any help with this final quest, and the player can say yes or no.

By now, you might already have an idea about what’s going to happen. Now you’re going to find out if you’re right.

The Daedric ruin of the Ashunor Valley is actually quite beautiful; there are waterfalls, flowers, rocks… it’s almost like Camoran’s paradise, but even nicer. Kind of funny that most of the fighting will take place outside, against violent Camonna Tong thugs. There will be a small interior that contains a circular stairwell. These stairs will lead up to a circular platform at the top of the ruin. If Rel is with the player, she gets hit with a paralyzing arrow from the person at the center of the platform. The person at the center of the platform is none other than Giralvel Virith, former champion and questgiver of the Fighters Guild.

Giralvel Virith reveals himself as the real boss of the Camonna Tong in the Redoran district. He has been since he joined the Fighters Guild ten years earlier. Hlervim Venim was his fake name. All of the time he spent adventuring was actually time he was coordinating the Camonna Tong for the time when they would have the chance to permanently destroy all opposition. And that opportunity was being prepared by himself. The power of the Camonna Tong alone would never have been enough to take on the Thieves Guild, the Bal Molagmer, and the Fighters Guild all at once, so instead he used the Fighters Guild in his plans. He became champion pretty quickly, thanks to his combat abilities, the help he got, and the speed at which he was able to get things done. From that point, using the Fighters Guild was actually quite easy. He influenced Demnivi to make enemies of the crime syndicates. He knew that the Thieves Guild and the Bal Molagmer would eventually be reduced to a negligible force (all of the quests given by Giralvel advanced his own agenda). That’s what happened, and that’s why he ordered the Camonna Tong to attack the Fighters Guild bases – no one was left to stop the Camonna Tong.

He seems to delight in the fact that the player is the last high-ranking member in the guild, and says that the player's fall will mark his own rise to power in the Camonna Tong. He wins, he gains more power in the Camonna Tong and eventually becomes the leader of the whole crime syndicate. The player wins, he/she becomes the Master of the Fighters Guild and stops the Camonna Tong in its tracks.

It’s a tough fight, but the player should be able to win. If Rel was knocked out, she wakes up and congratulates the player. If not, she’ll be waiting at the Silgrad guildhall.

The player is now Master, and Rel can be promoted to be Champion. Through her dialogue back at the Silgrad guildhall, the player manages how the guild will rebuild itself. The player can have the Reich Parkeep and Steadhelm guilds restored if enough time and money is put into them. At the end of each month, the player can collect either loot or money from a chest in his/her new office (just like with the Cyrodiil guild).

As for the Camonna Tong, they started fighting amongst themselves after learning of their leader's death. No one is organizing them at present and so they aren't a big threat. The CT isn't likely to be restored for a few years, at least in the Redoran District.
