Factions, a discussion.

in Vvardenfell the Temple (except for a part in a mainquest) has little action... keeping happiness, counsel, healing, worship to the Tribunal Saints, Temple Saints, ancestors, and good daedra....
so I dunno about Silgrad but that sound sabout right all over Morrowind...

as for Legions, I am thinking most of the Cyrodiilic Legions are gone but Dunmer legions and Legio Argonis stay.... see cause lots of orcs and Dunmer were in the Morrowind Legions.... but the Cyrodiilics probably sent home...

the Dres are now one of the two greatest powers on Morrowind... they and Hlaalu control all the southern areas and in Vvardenfell are grabbing some lands for spoils and to thwart Indoril refugees....

Indoril refugees, fleeing the war between Dres-Hlaalu and Indoril are going to Vvardenfell.... but I also expect some to go even farther and set up camp in friendly Redoran territory...

[/hr]

see the thing that might allow all of this is that Silgrad Tower is like a neutral city.... the interests of Morrowind are here.... sorta like Vivec City & Ebonheart.... both of these places express the interests of many people...

so a Telvanni band may be in Silgrad, and Hlaalu and Dres and Indoril.... but mostly Redoran I'd say...

Given that rumour has it that along with the expected weakening of the Temple both the Nerevarine and Vivec have disappeared. So I would expect that Indoril are in quite a bind as you state. so that is a very clear line now. Ty for adding the updates KKz. :goodjob:

So where next?

Alchemists Guild
There is a query from Ataridante about beginning an Alchemists' Guild :brew: . His first major quest is being worked out already on the ESF, and I have a second for him if he feels ready to create a new versin for ST. However I am not yet sufficiently au fait with the ancient workings of TES 3 Mw ST, so that is just a query to all. But the potential for the Botany Books, if realised would go some way to filling that requirement. And I would hope that you could keep a provisional place open for this as allow things to develope naturally. add in the next part of this post though:

Link to the thread: Cerro

One further faction that I think should be included in this thread is the local Vampire clan - which I think we have all discussed at length, and are agreed exists. Now should they be joinable?

I am sure that there will be a huge push to create quests for them, and loads of literature - well, actually we already have a writer who has created something unique in the Vampire line. We have discussed whether there should be sewers, caves, whatever. That needs to be taken up as appropriate for modelling claims, so do we think that we need to decide how it will fit re 'joinable'.

Add in the suggestion was there should be one central location, and maybe several other sites for the young-bloods who would be hunters rather than researchers.

Now please consider what might happen if, as was talked about in the forum months ago, the Vampire research is centered around Alchemy - and somehow we might connect the vampires and Ataridante's Guild wish idea?

Would Ataridante's lonely researcher/s be recruited by the Cerro, or resist them? well we know how vampires recruit, eh?

What is the overwhelming reason to make Cerro joinable? Public Demand. We know that there are people out there, as well as on the Forums here who are just 'dying to turn themselves into vampires,' and they will do so at the first opportunity, no matter what. So I think that if we ignore this then we get a strong adverse reaction.

One way or another we need a seriously joinable Vampire Faction, and I feel that there is already strong support at all levels in ST for the Alchemy link as discussed in the Cerro thread.

Funnily enough I fully intend that if I ever get a comp that can play Ob, I will never turn my char into a vamp, but I can read the writing on the wall...

Well, that's my 6d, 2 cents or whatever.

Oh, and someone modding a bookshop had a very surprising idea about a book that bites! snap, Sick you're a vampire!

I was thinking about some stuff between Camonna tong and Thieves' guild. Now you could join the Camonna Tong too.
Opinion is like an asshole, everybody has one and they all stink.

Isn't the Camonna Tong working in the Silgrad? I think there was some bandits on the border of Cyrodiil and Morrowind province.

The Camona Tong must surely exist, but there has been no public listing of all the TES 4 joinable factions by the Core. That is likely the reason for this thread: To find out what is the strength of interest among graphic modders and quest programmers in doing the actual essentials to make great ideas a reality in game.

In Lit Dev we recognise this, whilst feeling that we can hope to inspire great modelling and quest design. There are also those opportunities to make great contributions to the ongoing designs that others are working on.

On the whole Lit Dev must feel comfortable that there are still so many 'open spaces'. Wink

I would quite personaly love to see a joinable imperial cult, it was so.... unique, more rp possibilites, though they should be able to tell if you bear the stench of sithis.

I think the main vampire clan Cerro should be joinable. You either kill them, or accidentally or purposely become a vampire and join them.

Relations between different vampire clans should be also considered. If cyrodiil vampire enters Cerro's lair - what will happen? They'll attack him? Or talk and allow to join the faction (though without chance to promote without curing vampirism - and becoming cerro vampire)

With a name like HeIsTheDarkness i guess you just have to be a Vampire fan. So I will refer you to the link to the vote thread for a location for the Cerro in my post above. There is a lot of discussion, including the idea that the Cerro are Redguards who are anti Imperial and hunt them down - as it is speculated that it might have been an Imperial that infected them in the first place.

Given the fact that the Cerro are thought to be a dunmer clan, they would have no link with other vampire clans (they probably are more strongly anti-vampire than 'normals') and would undoubtedly mercillesssly hunt down any other vampires intruding into their territory. Also they are freedom fighters with specialisations in concealment and Alchemy, so they would not let anyone outside their own ranks live to spread word of their existance.

Actually the only reason we know of them is because we are the developers! Wink
