Fighters Guild: Characters
For fun, I decided to write a bit of a background on some of the important Fighters Guild characters.

Demnivi
Race: Redguard
Sex: Male
Age: 52
Class: Warrior
Rank: Master

Demnivi is the the guild steward of Reich Parkeep, and the Master of the Fighters Guild of the Redoran District.

Demnivi grew up in Reich Parkeep. Demnivi had a hard life, his parents abandoned him at the age of seven. They asked him to buy a loaf of dark bread from a market in Soluthis, and when he returned to the house in Reich Parkeep there was a note on the door explaining they had left for another town, that he was a burden to them so he couldn't be taken, that they sold the house, and that they wished him luck in life. Not the best parents, really. For days he had to feed on what he bought at the food market that day. Things were looking very grim until one day when he saw a Fighters Guild member outside honing his archery skills. He approached the old Breton man, and asked "What are you doing?"

The old man turned and smiled at the Redguard boy, "I am training."

"What for?" Demnivi asked.

The man got down on one knee and put his hand on the child's shoulder. "There are bad people out there, boy. And you never know what can happen."

Demnivi was interested: "Is there anything I can do to help?"

The old man laughed, and offered to take Demnivi to the guildhall. Inside the guildhall, the man gave Demnivi food. Now trusting this person, Demnivi told his story about how he was abandoned. The man looked sternly at Demnivi for several minutes, as though he were making a judgment. Finally, he offered to train Demnivi. When Demnivi accepted, he had no idea he was about to be trained personally by the Master of the Fighters Guild.

For years he was taught blade and blunt weapons, and their uses in different situations. When he was fifteen, the Master considered him ready for standard pest contracts. When the Master resigned seven years later, Demnivi was already at Warder rank in the guild. He took orders from other Masters in Silgrad City for another several years. The old Master Demnivi knew died fifteen years after resigning. Before passing away, he put in a word of recommendation for now-Champion Demnivi. Within five years, Demnivi would be promoted to Master rank in the guild.

He's a strong warrior, he's very much against crime, and he's loyal to the guild and its members. He's also a very strict guildmaster, which along with his other positive traits is why he's been the Master for over a decade.

But his downside is that he's sometimes blinded by his goals and will justify the means with the ends. His judgment might be clouded when it comes to the Camonna Tong for this reason.

Giralvel Virith
Race: Dark Elf
Sex: Male
Age: 42
Class: Crusader
Rank: Champion

Giralvel Virith is the current Champion of the Fighters Guild (he is Demnivi's second in command).

He was born in Ald'Ruhn. His mother died of the blight disease when he was three years old. His father decided to move to Balmora, council seat of House Hlaalu, where they would probably be safer from disease.

He was raised more by the Tribunal Temple than by his father, who got involved in the Skooma trade. After seventeen years, Giralvel enrolled in the Hlaalu military. He only served Hlaalu for one year before he quit for unknown reasons. Upon returning to Balmora, he discovered his father went missing. Giralvel made the choice to move to the mainland.

He lived in Silgrad City providing training services to various people for five years. When he couldn't stand the quiet anymore, he joined the Fighters Guild. He was able to rise in rank very quickly because he fulfilled his contracts very quickly. Demnivi chose Giralvel to be his champion because he saw potential. Giralvel spends most of his time out in the wilderness gaining experience.

Giralvel Virith is intelligent, bold, and serious - when he gets a task, he'll finish it. He's also very arrogant at times.

Refanda the Mighty
Race: Nord
Sex: Female
Age: 39
Class: Knight
Rank: Guardian

Refanda the Mighty is the Steadhelm guild steward.

She spent her entire childhood in a small Skyrim village. All year all she would dream about being a heroine when she was older. She seeked opportunities that would make her rich and famous, and eventually learned of the Silgrad Tower guildhall (which at the time was famous for its training). At nineteen she moved to Silgrad City where she would train alongside the present-day guild steward, Glaurok Gro-Klumb.

Refanda the Mighty rose in rank at the same rate as Glaurok Gro-Klumb, and they often looked at each other as for-fun rivals. They even went on a number of contracts together and would make bets about who would kill more enemies. Twelve years after joining the guild, and in the same week Glaurok was promoted to guild steward of the Silgrad Tower guildhall, she was promoted to guild steward of the Steadhelm guildhall.

She is skilled, beautiful, and charismatic. However, she has her own little... intimate secrets that could be scandalous. Not necessarily harmful secrets, just surprising.

Glaurok Gro-Klumb
Race: Orc
Sex: Male
Age: 39
Class: Barbarian
Rank: Guardian

Glaurok Gro-Klumb is the Silgrad Tower guild steward.

He was born in Silgrad Tower to a wealthy orc family. He was encouraged to go into politics, but he decided to go another route at age nineteen. He trained with the Fighters Guild alongside Refanda the Mighty, current Steadhelm guild steward. Everyone wanted to be friends with this orc because he had a way of influencing people who bugged him or his buddies.

Glaurok Gro-Klumb went on several contract missions with Refanda. He would say he was the better fighter, but he would also say there are many situations where he wouldn't have survived without her help. It was only twelve years after joining the Fighters Guild that he was promoted to guild steward of the Silgrad Tower guildhall. Refanda was also promoted only a few days later.

He is very strong, very aggressive, and very loyal. He's a valuable friend to have.

Rel
Race: Wood Elf
Sex: Female
Age: 29
Class: Archer
Rank: Journeyman

Rel is a possible companion for the player on many Fighters Guild contracts.

She was born to a middle-class family in Southpoint, Valenwood. Her parents decided to move to Vvardenfell shortly after her birth. She was educated and raised to an extent by the Imperial Cult in Veranis Hall for sixteen years. After that she started learning combat with a Wood Elf trainer known as Glundor.

She quickly learned she was no good with a blade, so she tried blunt weapons. She was no good at those either, so she tried archery. She still wasn't good at archery but according to Glundor, archery was her best skill. For four years she was trained by the indenepent trainer Glundor. The trainer was killed by the Khajiit smuggler Ra'Dargo who had managed to escape the authorities. Rel, at that point, decdied to join the Fighters Guild.

The Fighters Guild had little use for her at the start. She remained at "Associate" rank for a full year, then at "Apprentice" for five. Many of her fellow guildmembers questioned her reasons for staying in the Fighters Guild when she so clearly didn't fit in. She would simply say she wanted to make a difference for the better in the world, and she thought the Fighters Guild would be the way. She is currently at "Journeyman" rank.

If it wasn't obvious, she has determination, has good intentions, but is overall a lousy fighter. She hopes to change that.
