I think this needs some remodelling work ideally, still looks like a regular deer coloured in.

Any modellers able to tweak a deer?

I can, but first ill try to help to get this better.
I have to agree on rick's statment entirly. You see when you drawed in the texture it looks like its been slapped on there and donsn't seem like its continuous hair. In photoshop just adjust the blending options.

As for the mesh we can change it to look good. Instead of just leaving a default deer and re-texturing it make the horns like his concept and then texture it a nice mix of brownish, oakish colour for the horns and probably use the filter where it stretchs out the texture but not too much, very little to get the "horn" effect. As for the striped coat just add new layer normally colour it with green and alter it in blending options. You need the continuous flow of the fur and the texture on it. You may wanna re-texture the lower body of the mesh and give it a light but suttle colour to it to give it a strange but true effect.
Maybe it's intuition
But some things you just don't question
Like in your eyes
I see my future in an instant
And there it goes
I think I've found my best friend

I already made three different mangrove root systems.
If you want some variations on these I can do.

Theres' this one, which is only really small, like a small bush.

And the one in my sig, which is taller than a person.
I will need to make some more large ones.
