I'm awake, and that's always been the case ...but how about telling me about what oil companies have to do with it? Or what the Bush administration has to do with it? or what scarcer oil deposits have to do with it? or what OPEC has to do with it? or what screwed up drilling in Alaska has to do with it? Thanks to whatever specific reasons I gotta pay more at the pump. Massachuesetts may have been "no taxation without representation" but its got mighty high taxes, and gas prices.... *sigh*

The answer is, gas is becoming harder to get. For all these years we've been getting it from the Middle East, but there are so many "death to America" deals going on there they don't want to give us any. The oil we have here in the US is almost completely gone too.

Yeah, gas is expensive here in Mass, but when I went on my trip to Ohio, it was $3.50 to $4.00 per gallon in some areas. Now THAT is expensive.
Lol what?

$3.50 per gallon is incredibly cheap compared to what the rest of the world pays. In the UK we pay around ?1 (roughly $2) per litre, and 1 litre is approx 3.79 gallons, therefore we pay about $7.58 per gallon here. Now THAT is expensive.

Another part of gas (for europe) is coming from russia. A few days ago there was some trouble between the russian and belarus about gas prices and debts of belarus.
However that gas is also needed for some parts of europe. Any confilcts between russia and other neighbouring countries could increase the gas price.

Bob says

Pick something and thats a good reason to raise gas prices !

The war is shutting down plants all over the middle east

The "greenhouse" effect is causing shutdown of plants all over the world due to increasing natural disaster

The Oil companies want more profit

The government wants more income

The Gas Station owners want more of a cut

And for the most part the people are too proud, too arrogent, or too selfish, to all stand up and say enough is enough

and thiers most like another 75,652 reasons

and us folks here in the USA got it easy @ $3 and $4 a gal.
but its only $2.51/G here in Texas (yesterday)

Big Grin

Enjoy

The great taste of Diet Bob, with less calories and its not $3.00 a gallon

If only niche cola were only 2.50 a gallon...
