Kwama Warrior

Hopefully someone will be able to animate them, maybe use the bear skeleton for the quadrupal Kwamas, and maybe the Sewer Rat for the Kwama Fourager (they both sort of skip up the ground)?
What if...girls weren't picky?

I have a question that I have never found a satisfactory answer for: is animating for Oblivion difficult because it's hard to get the animation INTO Oblivion, or just because there is a lack of animators? Because things like Saiden Storm's dragon, the various combat animation replacers such as those in Deadly Reflexes etc seem to indicate to me (novice to nifscope and Oblivion's formats as I am though) that it can be done.

I have time to animate the kwama forager I've decided, but would that be any use? There's no point in me rigging and animating it if there's no way to get it from the Maya file into nifscope into Oblivion

Suffice to say, as I am relatively unlearned in nifscope and don't have time to learn, someone else would have to do the latter part in any case.

Yeah,... its getting in to OB that is a pain.

I sure dont know how. But obviously there IS a way. Maybe we would do well to ask the aforementioned as to how they did it.

If you can, please animate any creatures you want,... at the end, all animation rigs can be collapsed to FK bones, which any game engine can handle. So it'b be great to get a head start.

Aren't there useful tutorials for animating at the Cs wiki site? Or do they only work with other prgrams?

At least the ones I've seen are not specific enough.

They cover only simple static object animations, and not start to finish custom bipedal creature creation.

If you have any good links please feel free to let us know.

Yes, that's SaidenStorm, the guy who I was talking about. No point in me asking him because I simply don't have time to learn to do anything in nifScope; all I'm asking really is if it is possible for someone else to do the importing and nifscope and all that stuff, becuase if it is then I'll animate the kwama forager. Obviously there's little point in me animating it and then finding out there's no way to get animations into Oblivion lol. But obviously there is because SaidenStorm's done it.

Also, Modax Jango, that's some very nice texturing! Is it all in a normal map? It looks to me like a bump map and a spec map at LEAST (and a colour map obviously) but I know Oblivion only supports normal maps, which are basically bump maps with some specular attributes calculated also (my only experience with normal maps has been with Oblivion so I'm just going by what I've surmised myself). It won't possibly look like that in game, will it? (hopefully I'm wrong hehe)
