Morroblivion
[Image: icon12.gif] Moved to General ES Modding[Image: icon12.gif]

A program that converts morrowinds eps/esms to oblivions. There are a few videos of it in action on youtube like this one

Quote from the creator:
My program can convert landmass and many objects: all the statics, many activators and misc items, NPC (no clothes nor armors), weapons, flora, containers (empty), some common creatures.
It can't convert complex meshes (e.g. animated meshes, particles...)
This is only for personnal use, this utility does not contain Bethesda stuff and distributing Bethesda original or modified/converted data is illegal

this might not be the right place to post this however it does give you a visual idea of what this mod will eventually look like (or at least the vvardenfell mod) Smile

RE: Morroblivion
If I am reading this correctly

I can take the Silgrad Tower mod for Morrowind and using this program it will convert all my files (less the ones indicated) and make them usable on the Oblivon engine

?

Enjoy

Only static meshes. TES4: Vvardenvell has already a thread on this Smile

RE: Morroblivion
They took it off of the internet because they said it was violating the copyright and they dont allow people to put content from another game into oblivion or morrowind.

I don't entirely understand how it works. Does it just add Morrowind to Oblivion or can you play normal Morrowind except with enhanced graphics?

It converts a lot of stuff from Morrowind to Oblivion. This doesn't affect your Morrowind game at all, it just reads from it and add stuff to your Oblivion data folder.

Note that the result is not really playable: many things are not converted, so without a lot of TESCS work to complete it, you'll get a lot of bugs. For example, since the "choice-based" dialogue system from Morrowind isn't converted, if you commit a crime in front of the eyes of the law, the guards will rush to you, start to speak, and then since you can't pay the fine or go to jail or resist arrest, whatever, you can only leave the conversation, prompting them to forcegreet you again, and again, and again...

So, it gives you what could be considered as a pre-alpha version of a landmass mod. You can explore, but that's all.

So, would it be in violation of the copyright stuff if you converted just the world meshes (exteriors, their interiors, and decorations), but you weren't going to release it or anything. Because I am using this program to recreate Mournhold just for personal use. It's actually looking pretty good.

Why do I have an oblivion gate at the end of my name? Because I come and go, vanishing for a while, to unknown places, far away... something like that.

Yeah, in practice, it's not illegal per say as long as it's for personal use. Don't distribute any resource you obtain this way. The topic has been banned on the official forum apparently because some Morrowind content does not belong to Bethesda, but was only licensed by them for use in Morrowind, and so if they condoned the use of Morroblivion it could possibly be interpreted by litigation-happy lawyers as a breach of contract.

If you're interested in following the evolution of Morroblivion, you can look here, but it's in French.

Yeah thanks but I don't know French at all... however I did want to see one of my old landmass mods from morrowind in oblivion so it make me kinda sad it's illegal. Not like anyone would use it other than for personal reasons anyway.
