Nero's Poem: Eyes Wide Shut
Eyes Wide Shut:
When I look backi on the world's past; It hasn't gone fast; The war in Iraq still rages; As I look at the blood on the pages; That soldiers have sent; it pains me to read of how long they have spent; away from the ones they love; I bet they wish they were dove; Able to fly away and never coming back; Being able to see the sand turned black; Thanks to the mud; Along with the colour of blood; But they'd probably get gunned down; without a sound; Knowing they'll never be found They'd cry at the sound of troops storming; Now there's global warming; Caused by greenhouse gas; We don't have much water and we're running fast; That is the drought's affect; Oh what the heck; I will say it anyway; This is what everybod's doing today; Their standing around with their eyes wide shut; Not doing a thing; Drinking and thinking we can sing; Lauging at pain; The general is no longer sane; How can we see with our eyes wide shut; Like a week old cat stuck in time; People think will be fine; I'm begging on my hands and knees; So please; Think about it; I can't make you open your eyes; But do it, before the world dies. Cheers NR

Hi Nero,
That was actually a really good poem. It speaks a lot of truth about the world as it is today. Besides the obvious message it relays, is there a personal story for you behind this poem? Koniption
Yeah, don't let those little turds get you down. Dingleberries stick for a while, but eventually they fall off.
