Scavenger Hunt ?

Send the player on a scavenger hunt

The player meets an Old Eccentric, in loc. X the old man/woman has a liking for (what most would consider) junk.

The Eccentric will ask the player to find these things and return them.

Some items may be hidden deep within a cave system and some may be in plain site on someones mantle or in their closet


The Eccentric will give the player a list of about 12 items but will also mention one prize they he/she had lost hope of ever finding (this should be the bonus)

Things like a bottle with a red cork, a shoe with the heel missing, just crazy stuff.

After the player has found all the items, he/she may return for a reward
if the player finds the special prize mentioned by the eccentric you get an extra bonus

(Note): The eccentric will only be found on his/her death bed when the last item has been returned and the bonus item has been found
The bonus item should not appear in game until after all 12 items have been discovered.

Unitl this bonus item is found anytime you return to the home they eccentric will mearly thank you for finding those things and mention the special thing again



Also when the player returns (no matter when) with the final item, he/she will find the old eccentric on his/her death bed, also he/she will have 2 children (adult children) who will be at his/her side

When the player arrives, one of the children will say "my mother/father is dieing do have any last things you want to discuss. Player says "Yes" and offers the bonus item to the Eccentric

The Eccentric " O my old eyes never thought I would see this " " you (player name) have lightened my darkness" "For this, I leave you my entire estate" "you may keep it, or grant it to one of my ungrateful offspring, or you may sell it and offer it to a good charity" but you must choose only those

Then the player dies without another word

The 2 children begin to argue and then ask you to make your choice

If you decide to keep it yourself

They will have an assasination attempt made on you
(we can discuss details of this outcome later)

If you decide to give it to one or the other of the children
(in a few weeks time) you will hear that the one you gave it to is dead
(we can discuss this senerio as well)

If you decide to sell it an give the money to charity

In about a weeks time you receive word of an offer, return to the location and a elderly woman will give you the money, which you can take to any temple and offer it, also after sold the children of the eccentric will try to have you killed (as above)

(If you do not offer it within a weeks time you'll be cursed !!!)
(type and effect optional)

( I think this money can be cursed and for everyday you have it your attributes decrease by X amount)

now if only someone would take interest in doing it, we can get more "In Depth"

finalizing the oddity items the player needs to find and their locations

Also the different scenerios which could take place after the one "special item" is presented

Plus the possible Morag Tong connection if the player has not joined that faction

I guess that now we should decide on where to put the eccentric. Perhaps a new house? Will it be in Soluthis?

Soluthis would be a good place, we will need to get RW concensus on it, so he can give him a home, thier are plenty of open claims I suppose I could pick one , I'll request it
