Shivering Isles and its relation to Vvardenfell
The new expansion coming out for Oblivion, entitled Shivering Isles, looks amazing. It makes sense why too, because Bethesda went back to Morrowind for inspiration! Alien landscapes, giant mushrooms, and strange creatures abound... which made me realize... do we think this can be recycled right back into Vvardenfell? I mean, with how amazing this expansion looks I am willing to bet it's going to become pretty popular, so we shouldn't have to worry too much about loosing audience if we make our mod depend on it. I think a lot of the landscape options and plant life would DEFINITELY complement Vvardenfell, and there was also an awesome giant purpl-grey mantis creature I saw in the newest video that would fit in perfectly as well...

Yeah it's worth considering. I loved the depressing look about halfway thorugh one of the developer interviews, it looked a lot like Vvardenfell, kinda what our mod could look like...

this is certainly a possibility
it would also be interesting if we could make travel to the Shivering Isles possible by talking to the head-witch of the Sheogorath cult in Ald Daedroth but the more we find out about Shivering Isles, the better it will be to decide whether to make dependent or not, we don't want to blatanly copy, but we COULD strip down a few of the stuff of their daedric-ness and bring them into Morrowind-ness right? |
