Another quest for Holdgate.

The Imperial Garrison in Tiber Septim pass has got a problem.
They have a crazy, clusmy, lazy meglomaniac as a guard captain.
The Captains Lieutenant, at the garrison, convinces the player to remove the captain.
The player goes into the captains tower and finds that the captain is infact a Necromancer.
The captain summons some undead and the player fights through them, and kills him.
The Lieutenant takes his place as the guard captain.

Very short quest misc. quest.

Perhaps add something to distinguish the plot from the similar quest in Cheydinhal.

Was the guard captain a Necromancer in that quest?
IIRC You just killed him without any major twists.
Then again the Necromancer thing is probably overused.

The Necromancer should be fine, I was thinking about the Lieutenant's role in the quest being similar to the Lieutenant in Cheydinhal's quest.
Perhaps he could be exiled or something and approach the player with a warning just outside the town to start the quest?

a nice little quest

I had written a quest for TESIII Veranis Hall similar to this

The captain in this case was driven mad by his bumbling luit.

The Captain was a hard core soldier, the best of the best, spit shines and polished, followed all the rules etc etc..

However for some reason he was sent to Veranis Hall and he was pissed
cause he felt it was beneath him...then to top it off, his guard was a total gobber.

The guard wasn't as much of a gobber as thought and slowly drove the captain insane

maybe you can use this to further your quest idea
