What type of outlaws you use for the cave is up to you.
Try to add loot in areas where the player usually wouldn't look, to guide them around detours etc.
Place tonnes of smaller rocks around the place to make the interior intresting. Also add skeletons of unlucky adventurers, and other dugeon based clutter.
For lighting, use fakes then plop lights on top of them to save FPS. Using a mix of crystals, and man made lights would fit this cave nicely.
Add sound effects to the cave. As this cave is flooded. Dripping water would fit it nicely.
