Text for Loading Screens

I think they're good :goodjob:

I checked Bethesda's load screens and the max number of characters they use is ~180. The longest I found was the one that starts with "Bravil's night air is damp and noisome[...]". So that's a good limit for load screen texts I think.

The filled load screen text entries so far, with a few of my suggestions added.

bridge: The dragon attack on Steadhelm many years ago inspired a local artisan to craft these peculiar dragons, whom to this day can be found standing watch on Steadhelm's bridge.

caveandmineentrance: Dismal caves hold many valuable treasures and resources. But one must be aware that valuable things do not come cheap.

clagiuscaro: Looking to buy a house in Morrowind? Seek out Clagius Caro in Reich Parkeep - he might have someting for you.

crypt: Crypts coffers many valuable secrets and items for the deceased. One might find their own "inherited items" but be aware some "people" might not know who you are.

deepenmoor: Whether explorers venturing into Deepen Moor are brave or foolhardy is in the beholder's eye. Will your adventure bring you glory - or death?

dunmerguard: Far from being your friendly neighbourhood watchman, some say the local Dunmer guards aren't keeping an eye on outlanders to keep them safe but rather to find an excuse to arrest them.

ebbedin: The Redoran fishing village of Ebbedin is often a welcome sight, as its the only place with a warm bed for miles. Ebbedin is sometimes not-so-fondly referred to as "The Trashbin of Tamriel."

furiusandmoriavalodius: If you are in need of new armor or weapons Furius and his wife Moira have the best selection in entire Steadhelm.

glassvein: Glass veins contain a rare form of mineral that can be found in caves such as glass mines, and can be mined via a power attack while wielding a pickaxe.

goblinsewers: Many goblin tribes reside in dark gloomy sewers, be cautious and pack sufficient potions.

graveyard: Unlike the Dunmer, Imperials maintain graveyards and crypts to remember their dead.

hackle_loplant: The nourishing hackle-lo plant is prized throughout Morrowind. Properly prepared, it can make one feel lucky or light on his feet; improperly prepared, it can stop you cold.

hut: Many people may not like to live in socialised area's. Many prefere the bliss the wilderness and the europhia of life. These people have a vast knowledge of the lands around them.

ildeanoffinemold: Being Tamriel's most avid explorers, many Redguards have found their way to Morrowind and made a home for themselves here.

illandarethsfarm: For the alchemically inclined, farms often provide a great source of ingredients and in the land of the Dunmer these can often-times be surprising.

inns: You can find a variety of local spirits at your nearest Redoran tavern.

kiseenaji: Kiseenaji, proprietress of A Woman's Touch, is the one to see about real estate in Steadhelm.

landscape2: There are many regions to this part of the Morrowind province, from lush, fertile farmland to dead forests, hostile swamps and more.

magesguildgeneral: Looking for spells and potions? The Mages Guild has chapters in both Reich Parkeep and Steadhelm.

moragtongbuilding: Morag Tong is a traditional association of honorable executioners often bequested to solve minor Great House disputes.

ordinator1: It is with great honour that one has the duty of being a guardian of the Great House Indoril. However it is not wise to provoke one... the consequences is relentless and never more appropriet way to carry out his duty than death.

ordinator2: Ordinators are born warriors. Vexatious people are not tolerated by these prestigious guardians.

reichparkeepcastle: Reich Parkeep's ruler is Baron Remo, whom holds court at the castle.

reichparkeepchapel: Visit the chapel in Reich Parkeep to pay respect to the Nine Divines.

reichparkeepguard: Reich Parkeep's citizens are constantly aware of the longlasting hostility between native Dunmer and Imperial settlers. It's a source of hardship, but also a source of bonding among the citizenry.

roadsigns: Major towns and villages have roadsigns, while smaller settlements and locations of interests have minor signs.

skeleton: The undead... the cancer that plagues us all. So...how do we cure cancer?... We just keep fighting.

spider: Going spelunking in Morrowind? Take some spider repellent. Or some weaponry might help. A few anti-venom potions never hurt.

statue: Azura is a Daedra lord worshipped in Dunmer culture.

steadhelm: Steadhelm, the oldest Imperial outpost in Morrowind, has a reputation for brawling types looking to stir up trouble and the surrounding humid swamps make it a tough, heady place to live.

steadhelmchapel: The Steadhelm chapel is dedicated to Zenithar, the deity of wealth, labor, commerce, and communication.

steadhelmdocks: Between local mining and Imperial commerce, the docks of Steadhelm have long attracted wannabe merchants and trades specialists looking for export connections.

steadhelmguard: Don’t cross the Steadhelm guard! High merchants fees and Imperial connections have meant that keeping track of the racial discord in the city is a tough, fast and necessarily well-paid job.

steadhelmmagesguild: Visit the Mages Guild in Steadhelm for spells, potions and more.

steadhelmtradersguild: Looking for an odd job to do? Head on over to the Trader's Guild to see what work is available.

tavernandbarsgeneral: Ah, taverns. Places to go for good drink, so-so food, information of questionable veracity, and the occasional roaring bar fight.

tavotalos: Tavo Talds has made a study of all that is Morrowind. And he loves to talk about it!

thegoldengryffin: The Golden Gryffin is a tavern favored by the locals of Reich Parkeep.

therustyguarinside: For fine dining and wining visit the Rusty Guar in Steadhelm.

therustyguaroutside: The Rusty Guar is said to be the best restaurant in Steadhelm. It is also said to be the only restaurant in Steadhelm.

weaponsarmorstoresgeneral: Looking for a new and different set of armor, or a fancy new sword? There are many stores to choose from.

womanstouch: A Woman's Touch caters to the needs of the fairer sex.

zombie: The scum that stains such a beautiful world we live in. They deserve to die agian... and agian... and agian...

A few ideas for Steadhelm...

Steadhelm – Steadhelm, the oldest Imperial outpost in Morrowind, has a reputation for brawling types looking to stir up trouble and the surrounding humid swamps make it a tough, heady place to live.

Steadhelm Docks – Between local mining and Imperial commerce, the docks of Steadhelm have long attracted wannabe merchants and trades specialists looking for export connections.

Steadhelm Guard – Don’t cross the Steadhelm guard! High merchants fees and Imperial connections have meant that keeping track of the racial discord in the city is a tough, fast and necessarily well-paid job.

How's the progress on this by the way. Do the entries in the original post still remain to be written? Who was going to write the plugin that adds them? I don't mind having a crack at doing the plugin if no-one else wants to.

Hey razor, nice to see you up and at this again. I haven't been around too much, been helping the new Vvardenfell team lead by InsanitySorrow.

All entries from the original thread have been moved here, a plugin for them has not been made. If you like go ahead and do it, I can do it too but since I can't maintain two installs i would need to mess around with uninstalling and re-installing.

No problem friend, I'll check it out soon and then write the remaining entries and send the plugin over to sandor. I thought we had such a great community effort when we came up with the titles so that's half the reason I want to see it through =)
