I don't see why they shouldn't be able to read their own language, so maybe change it so that he can't read Cyrodiil (ie. English)?

I have something special planned for the books on the islands, but I will need help. I have found a new font on tesnexus that lets you write in Aldmeris (the language the Wood Elves and High Elves speak). I was thinking that we could make all the Bosmer books on the island in a different language (so that it's a quest for the player to find a scholar who can decipher them for you.
