Theives Guild
On my travels Thru oblivion if found an interesting book in the arcane university. acording to the book to deal with the the players choice for either the fighters guild or theives guild in TES3 gentlemen jim stacy has disapeared with the fighters guild cliaming the feat and the theives guild is either wiped out or as many belive deeper underground this could bring up some issues with joining the guild in morrowind cuase im sure asking at a cornerclub would be a bit out of place for a guild in hiding

If its in hiding, maybe make it so as you do missions you bring it back up to what it once was.

As mentioned earlier in this thread, we're planning on having the Thieves almost totally wiped out by the Cammona Tong right before the player arrives. The last major Thieves Guild tavern is then hit and the only remaining Thieves are hiding somewhere. If the PC joins them and lives through the massacre, he can then find the survivors and do a few jobs for them, but probably not much because they're virtually crippled. (The reason for cutting down the Thieves Guild was to avoid redundancy with Cyrodiil and free up our modding time for more Morrowind-specific factions). I think that this can easily fit in with the new lore about the result of the Fighters and Thieves conflict.

Will there be any other quest line for stealth characters than? I was hoping the thieves guild would be in this mod Sad

Well, we plan to have Morag Tong as playable, along with at least a small Dark Brotherhood quest-line, so those are two for the assassin-centered players out there. Then there'll no-doubt be stealth-oriented espionage missions at some points in the House War, probably more for Hlallu than for others since they are the "stealth-centered House." Cammona Tong is also probably going to have some stealthy cloak and dagger stuff. House Dagoth should definitely have covert ops going on. Those are all the stealth-centered joinables I can think of right off, though a lot of our factions should be workable for any type of player.

Oh ok, that sounds even better than the thieves guild. I'm glad you're having the Cammona Tong and Morag Tong playable along with the Dark Brotherhood.

I had no clue that Hlaalu was the stealth centered house, the only thing I knew was that the Telvanni were mages.

Hlaalu aren't stealth centered.... they ar mercantile types, but they like to be able to do a little bit of sneakiness if they "need" to

I meant as in there were three joinable Houses in TESIII, one tailored for each character type. The Redorans were supposed to be for warriors, the Telvani for mages, and the Hlallu for thieves/stealth characters. Of course they are lore-wise more mercantile, but play-wise their skill priorities are in the Stealth order of the three.

Spoilers and stuff.
At the end of the Thieve's guild, the timeline gets changed a little. The Gray Fox cowl has a curse on it that erases the name of whoever wears it (permanently, even if they take it off) from history, and Nocturnal cursed the Thieve's Guild with bad luck as well. After the Gray Fox (who is Corv-- ok, maybe I should cut back on the spoiling at least a little) undoes the curse with one of the Elder Scrolls (which you steal in the last Thieve's Guild quest), the timeline is changed so that the Gray Fox's true identity exists again and the Thieve's Guild is no longer enduring hard times. Doubt that this event would affect the situation in Morrowind much, though.
