Howdy

I had some afterthought to this abandoned warehouse

And here it is,

Why would Karthor Dale have an abandoned warehouse, Karthor Dale is alive with Argriculture, many farmlands to the south of the town owned by wealthy and greedy Hlaalu

But their is a resolve to this

The warehouse was owned by one of the wealthiest of the landowners, he was a good man and helped the farmers all he could, for they were the ones who kept his pockets full, but he died, and the warehouse became property of his business partners who were not as nice and did not want the farmers using the warehouse.....the landowner had a son, when the father died, his will was decreed and he was left with nothing, strange he thought, but the paperwork was official...

so here we are into the Shadowjade quest, they player will find documents which shows the warehouse was left to the son!

So I'd like to add this as an offshoot of your quest

It can be accessed 2 ways

1: If you chance by the son, who has become a hermit and can be found in a small cave north, talking to him, he will reveal his situation and indicate that he knows the "Will" was a forgery, if he could only prove it

2: When you enter the warehouse during Shadowjade and find the "true will" which will update the journal and give the player reason to visit the Farmers Union Hall, were by discussing the warehouse and disclosing your finding of the document, you will be given the story and a general direction to locate the son

Once either method has been fulfilled, you escort the son to Baroness Bero who's scribe will prove the found "will" official and have the other landowners arrested for fraud, the son will then open the warehouse so the farmers may use it again

And everyone lives happily ever after

The End

Smile

Hows that sound

Velothi Mountains Quests
Howdy

With Karthor Dale building near completion, we need to discuss the quests which we would like to have

As things have worked out I can see several things we can make quests for, here is a brief list which we can discuss and decide on

#1 Karthor Dale Farmers Union
#2 Ramoran Child Slaves
#3 The Karthor Mining Company
#4 Temple of Mara
#5 The Karthor Dale School
#6 Fighters Guild
#7 Mages Guild
#8 (in work by TID) Shadowjade

With respect to 6 & 7, these do not have to be guild quests but may be general quests involving these guilds

Please advise

RE: Karthor Dale Quests
After a few weeks of thinking

Here is what I have (Basic).. we can discuss these if needed and determine the best way to incorporate them

Simple Quests and they should not require many extra things

Karthor Dale Farmers Union
-discover document proving ownership of warehouse
-this document will be found in the unabandoned abandoned warehouse TID is putting together for Shadowjade Quest, the request will come from the former owners son who had taken refuge in a hovel some where's a bit north of the town, he will mention his father would have made arrangements for the farmers and ask for you to investigate. return to Karthor Dale and enter the Warehouse, search for the documents (they should not be easily found, but also not hard. Bring the documents to the Farmers Union, they will send them by messenger to Vivec to prove them authentic, return to the son and tell him....wait a few days and go back to the farmers union, they will telly ou that the messenger has returned and the documents are indeed authentic and the true owner is the son, bring this information to the guard captain, he will have the landowners arrested
(all this is done behind the scenes) return to the son and give him the news. He will thank you and ask you to give a note to the union offical declaring the warehouse is open to them to store their goods.

(Reward ?)

-help establish trade with Veranis Hall (Food for Gems)
-Farmers Union Offical will tell you that trade with Vvardenfell is good, but their is an abundance of ore and the Empire can only take so much at a time, they suggest a new source of trade and ask for your aide. Go to Veranis Hall and speak with the Farmers and Fishers, tell them that Karther Dale wishes to trade food for gems, they may not be overly excited, but a good persuasion might help, they will agree to accept 10 gems for 2 barrels of corn, 2 barrels of ash yams, and 2 barrels of fish
return to Karthor Dale and tell them the offer, they are hesitant but agree.

(reward ?)

-mediate leadership dispute and decide on new leader for Union
-speak with any of the members after comleting the first 2 quest, they will tell you that their has been a long going dispute over leadership of the union, go to the union hall and speak with the official, he will tell you that he is ready to retire, and his rival has petitioned several times for leadership over the union, but he will also tell you that he hesitates to turn over the leadership to him because he feels the other party is corrupted by Hlaalu** influence, speak with the other party, they will tell you that it is the current offical who is corrupt and is taking his orders from the imperials and keeping a large profit to himself. Uncover the truth to this and decide who the leader will be. (It will turn out that both are truthfull)
you will find evidence of their corruption in the union hall in the form of letters written to each of them by the corrupting party (these letters will be in locked chests) expose both as corrupted leaders and declare neither leader, give it to one of the farmers (named later) he will be humbled and promise to treat all the farmers fairly ( and in case you didn't know) both parties which stnad accused will attack you once you've exposed them.
Kill them both

Reward ?

Ramoran Child Slaves
-Discover and free these children, this can be done by talking with clothier who wants you to investigate why Ramoran can sell his clothing so cheaply

Kathor Mining Company
-Negociate wage increase for miners
-Obtain better lighting for miners
-Discover hidden enterance to Daedric Shrine, which contains Secret Velothi item ( ?? )

Temple of Mara

Fighters Guild

Mages Guild

RE: Karthor Dale Quests
I like the mining quests. I was thinking maybe a lost dwemer or dunmer or velothi city, Kind of like old mournhold in the sewers, rather than Daedric shrines, I feel we have enough of them already.
Will start working again for TES3 Project soon....sometime.

Veranis Hall Quests
Howdy

As we begin to build Veranis Hall we should be thinking of quest ideas for this town

We do not need many nor do they need to be complex, but they need to be fun

Idea 1

Thier are six houses along the coast which serve as homes/shops for the fishing industry in Veranis Hall, I thought an intesting quest for this would be that these homes serve a duel purpose as skooma traders and dealers.

All the homes will have a basement, each one will provide a different part of this trade and service and one of them can serve as a storage area for the skooma, it will also include a tunnel, the tunnel will go under the docks and exit, this will allow for the skooma to be loaded into the ships without notice

The skooma will be a hybrid (cultured moonsugar) manufactured in an underground green house, the quality of this skooma will be poor and in some cases deadly. the player will hear rumor of this "bad skooma" through random encounter with an addict who will be found in the wilderness with a ashlander shaman who came to the mainland to find his missing son, (who is another addict) during his stay on the mainland he encountered many addicts and made a vow to help rehabilitate them.
He eventually found his son but it was too late and the son died after buying this "Bad Skooma" this only enraged the shaman and now he is
on a mission to find the traders.

The Shaman will be the quest giver, intially the shaman will not discuss the skooma trade, but once the player talks to the recovering addict, he can then speak with the shaman about the bad skooma, the shaman will provide all the information he has and tell the player that the main source of the trading comes from Veranis Hall

In Veranis Hall only few will know of this trade, mostly the fisherman along the coast, except Kjarl. Speaking with locals about rumours, it will be revealed that Kjarl is quite bitter and no one knows why, speak with Kjarl and he will tell you of all the noise keeping him awake at night, he will tell you that he can not find the source of all this noise but it appears to be coming from below ground. He will invite you to enter his basement and listen (the noise will be heard only in the late evening) After hearing the noises, tell Kjarl you will investigate this.

Go to the nieghboring house and question the owner about the noise, he will tell you that it is he who is making the noise, that he is learning to play the lute and his instructor is only available at night. Return to Kjarl and explain this to him. Kjarl will tell you that his nieghbors explaination seems
leary since he (Kjarl) does not know of any lute instructors in town. But he will say that to find out for sure you should visit Granny Leofwens flower shop. Granny has been in Veranis Hall longer than anyone and she would know if their was anyone teaching lute

Go to Granny's ask he about the lute instructor, Granny will tell you that thier is an instuctor in town, but he had retired many years ago. She gives you directions to his home, go to the instructors home and find him dead in his bed, it appears he died of old age, but if you look carefully you will find a bottle of "Bad Skooma".

Take the bottle and examine it, you'll notice a letter on it and be promted to report this to the guard captain located in the Traders Guild building, show the bottle to the guard captain and he will recognize the marking and tell you where the bottling company that produced this bottle is located. The bottling company is in Veranis Hall, simply named VH Bottlers. They produce bottles for wine and other liquers, including skooma bottles.

Enter the bottling company and speak with the owner, intimidate him into telling you who he sold these bottles to. After some attempts to intimidate he will attack you (kill him), search his home and find sales records, the sales records give you a name (tbd), return to the guard captain and ask about the name, he will say that it is one of the owners of a trading ship which ports once per week and is due back in the next day.

Wait for the ship to come in and watch it, get in the water and you will notice the door to a cave is now open ( in case you found the door before)
enter it and walk through the tunnel and enter the room, (you will now be in a basement filled with crates of moon sugar and skooma) you will be immediately attacked by the traders 3 of them and a Orc guard.

Once inside the first basement the rest is easily accessed, make your way through the other rooms and find Harpian, he will attack you, kill him.
after finding his records, make your way back to the surface and report your findings to the guard captain giving him all the records you found

He will examine the records and give you the location of the underground moonsugar field, find it and destroy it.. (I think we can burn it)

Return to the guard captain who will give you a reward, go to Kjarl who will thank you and give you a small token of his appreciation (???)

Return also to the Shaman, who you will find dead in his hut. Thier will be a letter next to him which will read " The spirits told me of your victory and now my spirit may rest, my fathers thank you as do I, please take this token, my tailsman as a gift. (The tailsman should provide some kind of extra...tbd)

Edit:

Some added clarification to this quest, thier are 4 places along this dock in total which will be used for this quest (mostly in the basements)
all 4 owners are involved, however Harpian is the ringleader and is the only one who needs to be dealt with, once Harpian is dead the others will turn themselves in, pay their fines and vow to live a clean lifestyle, (thier dialogues after the death of Harpian should reflect this.

Also an added touch will be that after Harpian has been killed, we place a headstone just outside of town and the undertaker will thank you for boosting his business Smile

RE: Veranis Hall Quests
The second quest idea goes along with the Karthor Dale quest to make a trade agreement. As with Karthor Dale the player should be able to negociate this agreement via Veranis Hall Traders Guild...details to follow.

A third Idea hit me while reading something posted in QD

The Weather Man/Woman

I think this would be a good one to add to VH and if we can get it working correctly here, we can then impliment it in ES4
