Hey all,

I just started working with 3ds max 9 and it is very diffrent from MilkShape 3d. But I am getting the hang of it. I will start my new line of swords soon. I will be makeing them for Morrowind, but they will be used as a modders resource as well. I will keep you up to date here.

What sort of swords do you want to model?

Well, they are going to be a veriaty of diffrent swords. Like Katanas, broad swords, short swords, claymores, just different variatys.

It looks nice :goodjob:

Are those marks on the blade engravings?
If so, you might want to make them fit better on the blade, no blade ever has any engraving near the point and the sharp edge of the blade, simply because that's impossible (the blade would have weak points, aswell as blunt sections near the edge).

The design of the model looks good as it is.

Well I am haveing issues on makeing the texture work out. I used 3Ds Max 9 to make the model and used MS3D to do the textureing. As for the hilt it is a very simple cylender and low-poly count. Im glad that the model is good. Glad ya liked it! :banana:

Thank you all,

It just makes my day when people tell me that I do a good job. I just now started to get used to the 3Ds Max environment so It should start to look a little bit better by next week. I hope you all keep up with my work and notice when I improve.

Well the short sword is haveing some issues. The blade dont want to be textured right. But here it the long sword.
