I got lazy on this one. It is not an OM (Original Mesh), so it can only be used on TES3. I simply imported the piece into 3DS Max and then stretched, subdivided, and bent it. I tried to avoid end distortion, but please tell me how it looks in-game and I'll work with that.

It looks good, but it doesnt take the textures, none of them

NiTriStrips 3 has no texturing properties all the "strips" default to that Node

See pic Smile

Take 2
This time, done with more attention to the textures. Not optimized, 'cause that just killed the texture mappings.

This one looked even better and it took the texturing perfectly

X( I'll play with that. Maybe the export is not as pure a format as we'd like...

Valuable life lessons learned:

NOT "Try things before you upload them"; I knew that one, but I was hoping I could get away with it...Smile

ALSO NOT "Never get involved in a land war in Asia"; also good (if currently untaken) advice,

BUT "Never export TES3 from Max with strips"; make sure that box is not checked. Also as of 8/31, at least, you need to manually remove the BSXFlags and NiStringExtraData top-level blocks. With that, the CS will accept it.

As Bullwinkle would say, "This one for sure! Presto!"

Let me know,
Steve
