the squre pillars are a bit too block. Chamfer them a bit.

Ah buster, they are only square externally where it wont be seen. These windows are 20 metres up on the lower towers and even then the buldge of the shape below the windows would stop you seeing them. Heres the inside...

I just have to say that your coming to this forum have really lifted up the activity here. I'm glad someone with as much time and passion came here.
Really nice stuff!

Razor, using the textures you sent. I installed the Windows DirectX RDK which has a dds converter through right click on windows so could be usefull for people on here. Let me know if these textures are useable. I can obviously change the colour easy, or use new textures if need be.
I think the textures called "base" are great choices for walls and other huge surfaces. Well, except maybe #11 and #12 since they're from another set of textures. VelothiBase08.dds is the default texture to rely on for all velothi architecture and then the other textures (particularly the border ones) are used to break up the monotony of it. VelothiBase02.dds is really good for hallways. VelothiLNDome.dds should really only be used on semispherical domes on top of buildings. But I guess the bottom line is if it looks good then go with it

Good, so long as I'm using the right textures.
These are NURB hi-poly renders so only comment on the way the textures are used and the shape etc.
There is a problem with the texture streching around the entrances to the main done, I will sort that out later.
I am not sure about the entrance/buttress/entrance/buttress repeated around the main dome yet. Any ideas welcome?
