Magical sneak attacks? - Ahri - 04-22-2006

I know you get bonuses for using a bow or sword (etc) in sneak mode, and would like to have this implemented for magic users, so that chucking a fireball into someone while their back is turned might give me the same bonus as stabbing said person. I've looked through the editor's scripts and I'm not at all sure where the bonus is applied, and how I might apply it to magical attacks. Can anyone help? Or write a mod implementing this?

I've done a fair bit of searching the mod wiki and the official forums but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I also posted a thread on the official forums that someone else bumped (so there is some interest) but no knowledgeable modders replied.

I'm quite willing to do the scripting myself if someone can give me a couple of pointers; where in the game is the sneak attack bonus applied? Is this scriptable? Is it even possible to script this for Magical attacks?
