Possible Quests MISC - Grand Inquisitor - 06-06-2005 This is a short list of misc/random quests, I will give a link to the original thread and and the author. This thread only concerns Misc/Random quests, no guilds or factions. Any comments are most welcome... 1 - Lost Marbles by LadyLuck Lost Marbles 2 - Cart Racing by Deus Cart Racing Not really a quest, but if it could be done would be a very unique feature. 3 - Murder Mystery by pompadour_slim Murder Mystery This is a golden oldie, could be very exciting in Oblivion 4 - Somnambulist(I just take a little walk) by Quentin Fortune Somnambulist This quest could be achievable in the new CS 5 - Salty Sea Dog Tales by a collaboration of team members Salty Sea Dogs Many quests, with the rich deatil in making NPCs in the new CS, this should be a breeze. 6 - Creepy Old Couple by pompadour_slim Creepy Old Couple 7. Many Quests by Enkida Misc Quests There are many quests in here that would be perfect. I will add more as I find them and there is definitely more to come... -GI- - Quentin Fortune - 06-06-2005 Nice findings, Grand. :goodjob: I had completely forgotten about the Somnambulist "quest", but I agree ... with all the possibilities the new CS might offer this would be doable. Looking forward to more of your findings Greetings Quentin - noremorse - 06-07-2005 Some of these are very unique, and I like them a lot. Especially that Somnambulist and Cart Racing ones. I would love to see them in the game! - Razorwing - 06-07-2005 Is a somnambulist the same as an insomniac? Sounds like an interesting feature of the next mod, I hope it gets picked up. Btw Valderon really needs to fix that layout soon - noremorse - 06-07-2005 Quote:Originally posted by Razorwing Not quite the same. A somnambulist is the same thing as a "sleep walker." An insomniac is somebody who can't sleep. I feel like that most of the time, as it is 2:15am (0215) here right now. I need to get up early too. Stupid work... - Razorwing - 06-07-2005 Quote:Originally posted by noremorse Aah. Then I learned a new word A possible quest - Sebastien (CNA) - 07-11-2005 Okay, here's my idea: how about a quest to capture a set of three rare and colourful hummingbirds? Id have a ball, I have a passion for birds. But it would make for a most interesting quest requiring the player to be keen sighted, eh? So, you'd look for a little bright bird fluttering about certain types of flowers in specific places, you have to sneak up on it and capture it. :lmao: Naturally, it would be an optional quest and far from the storyline but hey it would be amusing. A good reward for the quest would be to be able to either set the birds free (disable) or to be able to place them in a cage which you can put wherever? Just a suggestion. :] RE: A possible quest - Razorwing - 07-11-2005 Sebastien: Two thumbs up for originality I think I'd love to play that quest! Course, I'd have to try and restrain myself from the natural instinct of killing anything that gets within reach :] Perhaps one of the options at the end could be to keep the birds in a way that is both benevolent to them, but still lets the player come back and enjoy them when he wants? I think I'd like to come back to them now and then without them being caged. If you want, you can check in on Abot who's created a number of birds for Morrowind. Perhaps he can be swayed to create a hummingbird when he moves his collection to the Oblivion format? Not that I'm 100% sure he'll migrate to the new game, but I hope he does. Getting in touch - Sebastien (CNA) - 07-12-2005 Well I am familiar with Abot's work - the birds in Morrowind mod is where I derived my idea from *bows to Abot* The only problem is: how does one get in contact with this Abot felllow? ?( RE: A possible quest - Cenobite - 07-13-2005 Quote:Originally posted by Sebastien (CNA)You should also give the birds some real intelligence. Give the player a time limit to catch the next bird. If the time limit expires, then the birds who have already been caught...have learned how to pick the locks on their cages. The player comes home to empty cages. Start the quest over. Gotta love Radiant AI... |
