I've got an error with the nif files. There's a yellow exclamation in the CS and I'm unable to open the nif files as usual. I get this error:
Quote: Runtime error!
D:\BETHES~1\MORROW~1\backup\BKF_TO~1\NIFTEX~1.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more information.
Strange.
Try the attached NIF, which I exported with textures included. Perhaps that is what caused the problem.

Sorry, still the same error.
edit: NifTexture still opens other files so I don't think it's the program.

Ok, test #2 in the first attachment.
This time I adjusted the Stripify option as seen in the screenie to "Do NOT Stripify".
In version 1, the Stripify option was "Next Generation", which I think is the default.

Well, it's something different now.

NifTexture didn't close itself down this time, but the file still didn't open.:O

Why don't you try the Construction Set?

I get an exclamation point.

I posted this on the ESF. FYI, I guess, I'm able to open the nif files with NIFText and do a save as, but in the CS, I still get an exclamation point. ?(

Ok guys and girls, I have updated the downloads now, and I checked out the NIFs in NifTexture and it didn't report any errors. The NIFs need to hacked and the texture locations set up manually.
The textures should probably also be converted to .dds format (see Silgrad Forum's database for download info on the dds converter). For those unfamiliar with .dds, it's a format used by many games to optimize .tga images and is compatible with Morrowind. You can achieve superior compression with it compared to .tga.
The NIF and Texture archives are self-extracting 7zip archives.
kalikut, if the NIFs work out for you, could you feature them as a separate download on your site as well? I'd appreciate that.

I could do that, but it'll probably be a couple weeks before I can test the nifs and upload them on my site. I'll be out of town and unable to do it before I leave.
Thanks for working on this.:bounce:
