Void sharing stuff - mirrored - 12-13-2006 I did some texturing of the himeji castle model. It needs some improving of course, I haven't textured doors yet, but it looks okay. Unfortunately something is wrong and I haven't been able to work this out - the nif crashes CS and I don't know why. Help anyone? http://files.myopera.com/voidoblivion/files/voidhimeji1.zip mirrored has attached this image (downsized version): him1.jpg (137 KB) - Kodama - 12-13-2006 Thanks mirrored, it looks nice :goodjob: I have never had that problem before, i suggest you ask about this in the "General Mod Discussion" if you have not done that already. I hope some one can help you with this. - mirrored - 12-14-2006 A bamboo tree. Image of it can be found here. Download: http://files.myopera.com/voidoblivion/files/yellbamboo.zip Edit 2006.12.14 19:22: I've managed to get the castle in game. http://files.myopera.com/voidoblivion/files/1voidhimeji1.zip mirrored has attached this image (downsized version): himingame1.jpg (114 KB) - Kodama - 12-14-2006 Cool! :goodjob: Well done mirrored, so you don't have any CS crashes anymore? - mirrored - 12-14-2006 No, I had to delete two detached objects and it works. Also In game as you can see. :goodjob: I haven't added the collision though. And it need some further working too. Edit 2007.01.07 23:51: A watchtower. Hope you'll like it. http://files.myopera.com/voidoblivion/files/watchtower.zip mirrored has attached this image (downsized version): watchtow.jpg (185 KB) - Kodama - 01-08-2007 Awesome! I love it! :applause: Is it possible to go all the way to the top of the seiro? It will be the perfect sniper tower :brew: Too bad i can't download it on this computer, i will have to wait untill tomorrow :poorme: - mirrored - 01-08-2007 You mean go to the top using stairs? Yes, I made collision for it, so you can go up. It took me a while though and I was pissed up, because I lost few hours the day before yesterday. First collision was not very well made as it was made fast (not stairs, just box collision at the stairs, so PC was slipping off them). Second time I did collision every element of the watchtower and in game my fps dropped to 1-2 (too complicated collision model). Yesterday I was able to do it properly. - raggidman - 01-08-2007 "I can see for miles and miles!" - Kodama - 01-09-2007 Quote:Originally posted by mirrored Ok, i tested it in-game, how did you set the scale? I put the scale on 2.0 when i tested, 1.8 was too small for my Nord... he got stuck I think 2.2 would be best hrug: I noticed that NPC's (who were trying to kill me) had a hard time to get up the stairs. - mirrored - 01-09-2007 Hmm their problem. Yeah I think it's made too small, but you can simply scale up the model in CS. About npcs - I don't know - the AI always seemed stupid to me, only in open areas they movement routes are ok. Edit 2007.01.09 10:46: Hey do you know anything about statics, like Togetsukyou bridge in real life? What materials are used? I thought it was all wodden, but when I searched for images of it, there were very few and not close shots. Seems like bottom columns are made with marble, but can't tell for sure, and I don't know what about other elements. |
