3DS Max, which version? - IAMTHEEMPEROR - 03-14-2007
Which Version of 3DS Max is better for Oblivion? 8 or 9? I hear 9 has more features but is buggy when importing into Oblivion. Which is why I'm asking.

Version 8.

Crap, the only one available for trial download was 9.....what now?

See my thread on niftools.org from christmas -06 for more info:
Collision in 0.2.10 for Max v9 causes the CS to crash

So as it says there I just don't put collision on models and they should work fine? That's alright, It's an armor I'm experimenting with here. Armor doesn't need collision, right? Would any method work if I have Max09? And is there an easy to understand tutorial on how to make armor with skin stuff and everything?

As long as you don't need to export collision it should be (mostly) fine.
