, that would also help solve our problem with the PC coming over already being god-like and a billionaire.

Of course, this now requries new leveled system for the monster and such.
I agree with it, surely. Smile

batman, any thoughts on my suggestion?
anyone else?

hmm... people don't come on here too often anymore....
we used to have almost real-time virtual conversations! Big Grin

i personally like the idea of being able to visit right from the begining with no restriction beyond vivecs invite, but hey, i;m also the one who wanted it to be possible to walk/swim to vvardenfell from cyrodill, so as much openess as possible is best in my eyes :goodjob:

well... the invite is when you get ALL the way to Morrowind...
then you go to a port that will take you to Vvardenfell....
the 1st time you chose to will be at the invitation of Vivec... the trip will be for free but you might get shipwrecked or whatever so you lose some money....

when the cutscene ends... when you have been escorted to Vivec's Palace.... you and him will talk...
you will decided:
-the Nerevarine
and also you will learn a general facts about what has happened since 6 years ago... and also advice...
Vivec will also volunteer to teleport you to Sadrith Mora, Balmora, or Ald-ruhn. Should you decline the offer, he will ask that you leave and that it was good to meet the one prophesized to save Cyrodiil (or the one who did)... and when you walk out of the Palace, the dock locks up and you walk past the posted Buoyant Armigers

Being able to get there from the beginning would really appeal to me as well, and probably to all other player of the mod! Like I said before, it would also solve our issue with god-like PC's and those one's who apparantly found a money-growing tree (*cough* console *cough*).

We could just make it so that you don't get the invite and start the MQ of our mod until after you beat the MQ of Oblivion? You can explore the island of Vvardenfell all you want, but until you beat the original MQ, Vivec won't give you an audiance. What do everyone think of that idea?

- batman - 12-18-2005

that could work, but (i hope this doesn't sound harsh) what would it acomplish? if all the side quests would be open would be the point of barring the main quest?

The joy and feeling of accomplishment after finishing such a grand and epic story? As well as all the great treasures and rewards that you can only get during the MQ and it's missions. Big Grin

You might be right though, so maybe we can add in more quests after the MQ is over with. Some that have to do with what happened and changed during the MQ's storyline?

And don't worry about sounding harsh. It's comments like your's that are going to make the mod the best that it can be. :goodjob:

I was just trying to think of a reason for Vivec to send you an invitation to come meet him. You being the savior of Cyrodiil (and all of Tamriel for that matter) from Oblivion, would be a good reason to think that you could help him out with his problem on Vvardenfell (and eventually into parts of Morrowind as well, perhaps).
