Hey, i'm new here Smile I sadly do not have any experience with modding :/ , but i could write some questlines, i can make music( keep in mind i am used to making techno and such..), i saw a thread about adding voiceacting, if it is going be added into the mod i might do some voiceacting for nords( Yes i am for the moment just fifteen, but hey i have a deep voice and don't look like fiftgrader..My english is pretty good, and i have an advantagde with pronouncing nordiclike words.), maybe do help brainstorming ideas and i am considering starting with modding. It's not much, but i'll do what i can to help.

Thanks for the honesty, DraconickDog! I like that... =)

Interesting selection of skills. I started working on modding with voice acting so I can sympathise with that (check my sig for the youtube vids). Sadly, it's modding that's the absolute high priority and always is.

Voice acting is a way off until we finally focus our attentions on the quests but there will certainly be openings when we do. However, quest ideas can be posted up in the quests section but beware! There is absolutely NO guarantee that the ideas will be used and the selection process for ideas is very strict here. Moreover, without modding skills, there is a very strong likelihood that the quest will not get off the ground...that's a statistical fact. This is because no one wants to do the hard work on implementing someone else's ideas. You pretty much have to do it yourself (although we're a team so we can help, of course). There's an endless stream of 'modders' that drift by these forums who are without the necessary skills and who believe that someone else will do this for them. The fact is that it never comes about unless they get organised and build up modding skills.

However, we welcome new additions to the literature section which is an associated skill...yet they have to be lore-friendly, strong ideas without too many spelling, punctuation and grammar errors.

Nevertheless, modding is pretty easy as long as you have the stomach to get stuck in and be patient. New modders often take up interiors or dungeons claims. Those new modders who do these tend to really craft them nicely and this opens the door to more complex stuff. Build up the skills and I can give you settlements to work on and, if you get to know the CS well enough, you should be able to work on those quest ideas that you're passionate about....such as the smuggling one for the Sotho Tren Faction. I am not sure if i posted this right, I don't use forums that much,
I would like to offer my services as a modder, as I like the direction and purpose of this mod as well as completed work portrayed.
Bluntly, I'd like to help 'cause your mod's cool!
I am able to use the CS competently,(Place stuff, Make NPC's, AI, Basic
Quest's, Merchants, Patrols etc..), and I can re-texture and create meshes (though I greatly prefer re-tex over meshes, as it is a lot quicker and harder to stuff up.) I don't like to script or implement quests but if I realy realy need to I can, thats realy realy need to.
As a display of my abilities I have the mod I just abandoned, I can email it if you want to see it as I am not so sure how to uppload it here if that is even possible. I know I am probably not of much use but hey, I tried.
I read somewhere abou abreviations I don't know SA, AL, AT, I'm not fussy

I also have an Idea for BM(not a quest, I've seen the previous post's)
should I wait for a reply or just post away? (Is that Hypocritical or Irony?)

Edit:Just Found the attachments button, I removed the custom meshes from the file and esp to keep it under size, so please just ignore the part about custom armour being here in the readme

Wonderful; it's good to see you have prior experience and can do multiple tasks.

I'm pretty sure we need some NPC's created to go with empty interiors, some NPCs given AI (plus for those NPCs that we still need created), and quests..we have none, or virtually no Quests.

I've never done Quests, tbh. So they are definitely not my strong point. I saw you don't like to do Quests or scripting, though. But is implementing simple Quests ok with you?

I know we plan to move forward with making quests soon-ish. Ibsen's Ghost also said he needs to learn to make Quests, and that TESAlliance website, offers good advice and tutorials for how to do Quests. He plans to go over to TESAlliance, once we are ready to actually making quests for our mod.

We also need the Paatru race re-textured. I think we are aiming for a frog-like appearance and texture. Ibsen's Ghost can tell you more about this, and the other info you need to know.

Thanks for the upload. I'm sure Ibsen's Ghost will help you get an abbreviation. We have prior modders who also used abbreviations, so he will need to cross-reference yours with theirs to see which abbrev. has not been taken yet.

You can post your misc idea in "The Sticky Guar" subforum, here at Blackmarsh. If per chance your idea ends up in the wrong section, an admin can easily move your post to the proper section - no biggie.

Go ahead and post your idea. (not sure if it's hypocritical or irony) Wait before claiming a modding task, though, until you have your abbreviation.

I'll download your uploaded file, and will look at it tomorrow. (It's late at night here, and I'm tired.)

Ok, before you perhaps get nervous after reading that thread's first post - don't get nervous!

We had some people sign up, offer help, then they basically ran off with the mod's files without doing anything for us. This happened quite a few times in short period of time, so Ibsen wrote "The Pledge of the Lizard King".

Basically, it boils down to this:

If you aim to help out, please do something modding-related for us, after we send you the Blackmarsh mod files. If you find that the task is too hard or something important in RL has come up (vacations, emergencies, RL job work, etc) - notify us, so we know to either give you something else easier to do, or so that we know you will be absent and unactive for a while. If you know a tentative amount of time you may be absent from the modding scene, please tell us how long this may be; also tell us if you aren't sure how long you'll be away.

Lastly, if you absolutely find that you can't continue modding for Blackmarsh, tell Ibsen's Ghost or myself - don't just disappear without warning, never to come back. We have great respect for people who keep us notified.

Ibsen will be on these forums later, and he can better guide you than I can in what is needed/etc, for the most part. So be sure to wait for him to reply, too.

I looked at your uploaded file. It all looks very interesting, even what you had initially tried to plan out for your mod, but didn't quite finish. I laughed at some of the things you wrote in the Readme document, too (like the "hacker" comment towards the top). You have a sense of humor, that's for sure.

I think SA makes sense to me as a modder's abbreviation. I've just downloaded your esp and will take a look sometime tonight. In the meantime, you'd be welcome to join but, as Koniption says, I don't like time-wasters because we want to make proper progress and not just mess about and have a nice chat like many mods. As long as you're here for the right reasons as you appear to be then we'd be delighted to have you. As long as you're okay with that then I will send you the bsa archive so you can get started as soon as you're ready to get going and have chosen a task.
