The only thing to do is to plug my XP comp into the network in order to generate the LOD textures. - Ibsen's Ghost - 06-03-2011 Looking at the regions now, I'm thinking that it may be best just to generate the LOD first. These regions are probably not going to be seen in the beta anyway. However, if you'd prefer to do it all in one go, I can understand that. Anyway, looking at the regions, I'm a little worried about the Reaven Fenlands. The way that the BW region is generated (and considering the fact that a lot of the region is very low to the waterline), it means that very, very little variety is available in terms of replacing objects. I had thought I'd just hand-place a lot of trees but considering the fact that there are virtually zero shrubs or flora, it's going to make things a little problematic. Is there any way of increasing the quantity of trees, shrubs and flora etc. automatically? Otherwise, I guess I could add things in clumps. As for the Wamasus Hills, I'm still waiting for the BMPineTree variations that morcroft offered to make. My concern is that the landscape itself is very low to water level and the region generator doesn't seem to want to place anything at all so close to the waterline. I had therefore figured that Blackwood would be the best choice...plus I'd like to make good use of the custom 'cypress knees' we have so I'm in a bit of a quandary. |
