Maybe oppressive wasn't the right word, but definitely rich. I think the sounds should convey the life and depth of the environment, to really give it a sense of realism and character.
I'm not saying I want something that's loud and intrusive, but rather a pallet of sounds that emphasizes a complex and enticing environment, one which should entice the player to explore. |
