[TITLE]TES4 Vvardenfell Telvanni Quest-line[/TITLE]
Summary:
The Telvanni have great advantages and great disadvantages. Their advantages are that they have skilled warriors, powerful wizards, and a great leader. However, their disunity, as well as their lack of a solid economy and production makes them weak. The Telvanni are split between two groups. They can be referred to as the Traditional Isolationists and the Aggressive Progressives. While the traditionalists want to keep things the same, keep their slaves, maintain their secrecy, and isolate themselves from the outside world, the progressive generation, led by Aryon, wants to sieze control of lands, expand their influence, and free their slaves, and conscript them as workers and mercenaries. Aryon has five main agendas. He wishes to solidify Telvanni economy by having a mutual trade between Telvanni and Redoran - both in need of secure trade partners; Hlaalu are too manipulative, and too wealthy to be trusted since they have more leverage in deals and can force their way more easily than the Redoran and Telvanni who need a stable economy. Secondly, Aryon wants to make alliances with the Ashlanders, he has already become friends of the Zainab and hope to ally with the Erabenimsun. Thirdly, he wants to unite the Telvanni and quell the traditionalists who are beginning to speak of assassination or separation. Fourthly, he wants to make the Telvanni a powerful force in the mercenary trade since they have good mercenaries, and many freed slaves willing to serve as hirelings. And finally, he has secret plans with Dwemer technology.

Fyr responds saying that he does not wish to have assistance and that Aryon has enough troubles, he does not need to worry about his old former master. Other quests
Dralor Telmon, Tel Arhun
Once a Telvanni war-wizard, then a lord for the management on the Telvanni Compound, and now a military planner for the Telvanni Army, Mavon Drenim has earned both enemies and friends. He is a good manager as well as leader and has created a mercenary arm in Zafirbel Bay to serve as the auxiliary forces to the Telvanni Army at the Firewatch peninsula.
Treasure of Tel Aruhn
In legend, the Duke of Mournhold's payment to the Morag Tong Night Mother was a ship-load of treasure. If the legend is true, the booty should be sunken somewhere near Tel Aruhn. Search in the underwater tunnels beneath Tel Aruhn for treasure. One tunnel will lead to an undersea cave with a shipwreck. Dreugh will attck you but after they are killed a journal entry shall be in. You must report back to Mavon Drenim who tells you that says the gold will be used immediately to help raise a larger army.
Hire Orc Drillmaster
Meet Dugshnar gro-Julgra at Ebonheart docks and escort him to Tel Aruhn barracks.
Inspection
Telmon now has you meet all the war-leaders. He gives you a list - the Bosmer Archer Commander, the Nord-Breton Company commander (an Imperial), the Orc Captain, the Argonian-Khajiit Company commander (a khajiit), and the Telvanni company leader. You go to each an ask if they are ready. Some will have certain needs and you relay these to Dralor Telmon.
Treras Dres, Hanud
This Telvanni wants to usurp Aryon. Fulfilling his quests will hurt your career. Reporting him to Aryon will be beneficial.
His first quest is to assassinate the Zainab Ashkhan. Good luck doing that. Even if you do, next time you enter Tel Vos they will attack you. If you report it to Aryon, he will thank you for your observation and warn the Zainab. If you tell the Zainab Ashkhan, they will besiege Hanud.
Second, Dres wants you to assassinate Aryon. If you tell Aryon, he will ask you to kill Treras Dres. After all this, the Zainab return to their camp, and you are rewarded by being allowed to use Hanud and take any loot there. The place becomes a trade-post and a hostel for travelers.
Llunela Hleran
Temple duties
Llunela needs to make a pilgrimage and she wants you to escort her to the Fields of Kummu and back. You will be paid with a grand soul gem.
EDIT1:
Clan Quests
Nerethi Clan
This Clan has been met with several unfortunate events. Their Tower on the mainland was razed several years ago by renegade Telvanni. One of their clansmen was slandered in Mournhold and tried to assassinate the people, but he, Veros Nerethi, was killed. Thus this clan is looking for a place to go, but without their wealth, and without some of their better clansmen, they are having a tough time. They would like to settle in the Telvanni tower of Vivec but cannot afford the fee to pay the Temple. They reside in Vos.
Starting up
Uupse Nerethi, clan leader, needs a way to start a business. She is a good enchanter though not an expert. Find her a job. Asking around reveals that the Zainab wish to acquire enchanted weapons to better defend themselves when they go to mine ebony in the Yanemus mine on Red Mt. When you go ask a Zainab Gulakhan, he will answer proudly that they need no Telvanni weapons to fend for themselves. Asking around the camp, the camp trader will tell you that he will set you up with a business deal. If you can supply them with enchanted silver swords, they will give gold and guar hides and shalk resin. When you ask where you will get the silver swords, he will tell you the Redoran are good weaponsmiths, but he knows of an Ashlander trader living in Ald-ruhn who may be able to supply you with some. Going to meet old Hassour Zainsubani who says he can get you them, but is expecting diamonds from his son...
(His son is is in a newly discovered diamond mine near Baltir Mal in the West Gash. You get the diamonds from him, give them to Hassour, who will give you 5 silver swords.)
You give these swords to Uupse who will enchant them with absorb health, and then you give these to the Zainab trader who will give you guar hides, shalk resin, and gold. You give these to Uupse. She is glad she can start a small business while saving up.
Ashlander Romance(easier if you are in Ashlanders faction)
Uupse's daughter, Relavesa Nerethi has fallen in love with an Ashlander hunter from the Yakaridarin Tribe. However at the same time, Uupse has plans to marry her daughter to the powerful Uvirith. In Telvanni society, marriages are serious business, and assassination and kidnappings aren't uncommon in contrversial marriages. Talk to Relavesa, and you will realize she feels that as a duty for her clan, if she marries Uvirith, they will have a home. However she loves Pudai Naskanalit deeply. Talk to her mother and she will say that she'd only allow her daughter to marry the Ashlander if he shows his power and wealth. You have two choices... marry her to Pudai or to Uvirith. Uvirith won't care much, but for the dowry he is willing to pay four Grand Soul Gems and allow his tower to grow more pods for the clan to live in. Pudai says he is but a poor hunter from the Yakaridarins. Advising Relavesa to marry Uvirith is easy but her disposition to you will be low, her mother's will be high, and she will give you a charm amulet. If you advise her to marry Pudai, you must help Pudai look powerful. If part of the Ashlanders faction you can simply ask the Yakardarin Ashkhan who will agree to help his clansman. If not, then you need to buy a set of Telvanni bonemold, a bonemold bow, a staff of peace, and plenty of telvanni bug-musk. You must also tell him to decorate and tidy up his Yurt. When you tell Uupse to look it through (and deliver the dowry of a pack guar with precious silks), she does and sighs and says Relavesa has her consent. They are married.
Housing
If you marry Relavesa to Uvirith they will simply move to Tel Uvirith. If you marry her to Pudai, Uupse and the rest of the clan will be leaving for Vivec, the Telvanni Compound. Uupse tells you to sell her silks (Ashlander dowry) and get 7900 gold for the fee. When you do, or simply give it to her, she will reward you with an enchanted Ashlander silk shirt and pants, the enchantment is to increase personality.
Trendrus Drals
Drals' wife is coming home after visiting relatives on the mainland. Trendrus is worried since he is afraid of his sorceress wife. He is doubly afraid because he leaves the House untidy and has lost the Beetle herd somewhere in outside Sadrith Mora. He is also triply afraid because he got a Bosmer girlfriend while she was away for several years.
Find the beetles
He will tell you that yesterday he lost the small beetle herd he was supposed to keep. This was his income, although he wasn't poor his wife expected them to be healthy and all there. He knows there are three and you must go outside of Sadrith Mora and find them. You herd them back by equipping a Telvanni beetle lure, which Drals will give you. When you find a bettle, it will walk close and follow you. You simply lead them all back into the pen, un equip the lure and clse the pen door.
The WIFE
Drals is terrified. He heard his wife will be getting off the Elf-skerring tomorrow. You can either tell him to fake his death, run away with his Bosmer girlfriend, or be a man and stop letting his overbearing sorceress wife boss him around. Faking his death will get him found out and his wife will shock him with lightning. Running away will make him and his girlfriend run away to the Telvanni temporary housing in Vivec. Telling him to stand his ground will result in finding his dead body on the ground of his house-pod under the foot of a crazy wife. His girlfriend will soon move out to Tel Aruhn.

(Councilor Quests)

Therana
Usurpers return
Hendu Dalen, the brother of the late Trerayna Dalen has come for vengeance. He has taken the docks and put the Indoril settler at sword point. Therana wants you to kill his followers while they patrol around the village and she herself will strike down Hendu Dalen.
Dratha
Where is the Amulet of Flesh Made Whole?
Dratha has misplaced the amulet... or it got stolen. Ask around and look around. Eventually you will find the Mabrigash has it and was arranging for a boat. Tell Dratha and she will order you to kill the mabrigash and retrieve the amulet. The guards won't mind. As a reward, only if you are female, she gives you a ring of paralysis.
Uvirith
Aid the Erabenimsun
Cultists and Daedra have been raiding the Erabenimsun. Many of the warriors had gone away on hunting trips and the camp is in danger. You and a few Telvanni warriors will go to the Erabenimsun Camp, and accompanied by a few warriors who were on their way home. Kill the cultists and the Daedra.
Baladas
Explore what is beneath
Baladas has recently discovered that beneath his very tower another part of the Gnisis' Dwemer ruin is located. He had made hole in his jail down to the ruins and he asks you to clear it of pests. Animiculi are not to be touched. At the end you will meet a Dwemer spectre that begs you not to destroy it. It asks to meet the wizard who blew the hole in the ceiling. You go tell Baladas and he is delighted.

[/hr]

Aryon
Support of the Telvanni
You must go to each Mouth (aside from Aryon's) and ask if they are ready to support Aryon. Baladas, Uvirith, and Therana are. Dratha and Neloth oppose Aryon. Report this to Aryon.
Spy on Neloth
You are told to go to Neloth and ask to work for him against Aryon. Watch for any suspicious moves. He also mentions that it is a good time to get your out Tower....
[blockquote]Llunela Hleran
Strong Souls
Go get two soul gems filled with 'strong souls'.
Talk to Sashpilamat Orcs
The Orcs at Shashpilamat agree to help guard the new Tel Orsimer in exchange that their lives be spared and they own the Daedric shrine area of the tower.
Oversee construction
Talk to the orc overseeing the construction and be notified that all is well. The shroom-hold will be ready in a week's time.[/blockquote]
________________________
--Neloth--
Alliance with Dratha
To make the formal alliance with Dratha, Neloth has you kill a Nord who has been harassing the women of Tel Mora. Dratha will be pleased with this act and their alliance will be formal.
Morag Tong
You are given 3000 gold and told to go to the Morag Tong guildhall and ask for the assassination of Aryon. They will accept hesitantly. You now must quickly go tell Aryon. When you do he will be unsurprised. As your dialogue ends, an assassin comes out of invisibility and attacks Aryon. He should be able to take care of him, but you help of course.
________________________
(Aryon)
Rebellion
Contact the Bosmer mercenary captain at Sadrith Mora and he will gather his troops and surround Tel Naga. With his own troops rebelling, Neloth accepts Aryon and grouchily says he will do no more to oppose Aryon.
Persuasion
You must as Dratha to stop killing traders passing her area to get to Vos. If you can get her disposition high she will agree and submit to Aryon's authority. If you are a female, she will agree. If you cannot and aren't female, she will tersely answer NO. You are then to kill her. This is good for you, but bad for the war to come. the reknown Tel Mora women-warriors will not join the ranks of the Telvanni if their Dratha is dead.
Trade Agreements
Convince Redoran Councilors to trade only with Telvanni and to boycott Hlaalu. Athyn Sarethi is hesitant but agrees to tell the others. Ralos Venim agrees immediatly. Arobar Miner is reluctant, however if you tell Venim this, his reluctance will turn into a yes.
Evict Mages Guild
Aryon asks Ralos Venim to remember the old agreement of limitting the Guild Mages' powers. Aryon sends you to get the reply. Venim says he will not evict the Mages, however a Telvanni wizard is allowed to reside in one of the watch-towers. This is on the condition that the Telvanni allow the Indoril refugees to settle around Tel Branora, Odirniran, and Mawia. Aryon agrees.
Bitter, Bitter Coast
Aryon says that recently he has heard that Hlaalu have been hugging the Bitter Coast for their shipments since pirates have been abundant. He wants to send forces there to intercept Hlaalu shipments and also test his new ex-slave hirelings. Smokeskin-killer suggests Eleedal-Lei who has a life-debt to Uvirith and currently has been training argonian hirelings. Aryon asks you to and offer the job to Eleedal-Lei. He accepts.
[blockquote](if you are Argonian you get their gear for free and a pet Durzog)
Eleedal-Lei
Clear Hlormaren
You and a few Argonians go and clear out Hlormaren to be their base.
Return the eggs
Dreugh have been attacking the place for a few days. Ask the medicine man who will tell you that something is irritating them. Ask around and eventually you will find one of the Argonian warriors have stolen Dreugh eggs and was planning to eat them later on. The medicine man asks you to confiscate the eggs and give them to the Dreugh Man-O'War. The Dreugh will attack but run and evade them until you reach the coast. Then they will stop and the Dreugh will gurgle some weird words and leave.
Ambush
A Hlaalu merchant-prince is planning to hike it through the swamps to Gnaar Mok and also survey the land. ambush and kill them.[/blockquote]
(Aryon)
Research and Developement
Aryon has you go kill a Morrowind Legionaire. You are to bring the armor to him and he says he will inspect it as he did with Imperial legion armor to find its strengths and weaknesses.
Brass-Man Project

It is a War-Golem and is being reconstructed. You are to go inspect on their progress. You will find that they are only half done, bt it has been dubbed Telvannivamidium "hope of the Telvanni". Aryon tells you to tell them to hurry up, and gives you Dwemer cogs to give them. (This thing-->War-Golem)

I like it. Are there many missions from the traditionalists, because if they players want to roleplay view an aim toward peace, then we'd need some quests in that... spectrum... as well.

Perhaps some meddling in the affairs of Telvanni, either family related, or i dunno. not everything is oriented toward the war, or involves errand running right?

Alot of what has been on my mind is resource management. Because with these resources comes the trade of these goods, which opens up tons of quests. =D =D =D. What counts is presentation with these quests, and if we let our minds wonder, then we can come up with some pretty innovative quests

KuKulzA,

I like these. I think you could have some more fun with the Nerethi Clan;

Morag Tong:
If the Nerethi settle in Vivec, they have trouble with the Morag Tong. Uupse Nerethi asks you to talk to XXX (the local front for the MT) to tell him to knock off the robbing of the Nerethi shipments. You calk to XXX, and if you are yourself a MT member, you get cooperation. If not, you get attacked by XXX's bodyguard and must fight hand-to-hand because of the presence of nearby guards. If you get knocked down, you are allowed to leave in defeat; if you knock down the MT bodyguard, they concede your point and agree to lay off the Nerenthi for thirty days (or whatever).

This is just an excuse to force some HTH action, since it is a skill that seldom gets used in the game! Big Grin

good idea  and thanks for the complement

hand to hand is underused... although I have come up with ways in Black marsh in which it can be used a lot, Vvardenfell is a tougher place for that with all the shiny weapons and ebony and glass and stuff, people just look at whats cool and shiny and not at iron hard knuckles Wink

these ideas are great! I have one suggestion though- I think that you should be able to choose whether to align yourself with Aryon or Neloth. That way people can choose who to help and who to assassinate.
