Super idea

Lets do it !!

Good quest for a Acolyte prior to promotion, will test judgement needed to become an Adept

Add on idea... after the Khajiit has been tending the vines for a few days, the player can approach him, asking how things are going, the Khajiit can answer, thankfully and ask the player if he/she would mind getting the stolen food and returning it to the farm owner. The farm owner will be so grateful he/she will give the player 1 gold. Return to the Khajiit and give the gold to him, the khajiit will thank the player and say he will give the gold as an offering, because Zenithar has shown mercy on him.

Go to the priest and tell the priest what has happened, at that point the priest can promote the player to Adept

Opinion's

Yeah definitely a good ptII bob.

What will happen though if the player takes the wrong course of action, does this mean they will never be promoted or will have to scrape in other ways to gain enough favour for acolyte rank?

Perhaps a good way to do this would be a 'second chance' quest where the player must study a text somewhere in the temple describing a similar situation to the khajiit quest but with zenithar or someone holy involved and answer 3 or 4 multiple choice questions that prove they know the way of zenithar in order to gain enough favour to become an adept.

If they cant even be bothered doing this then perhaps they are not the right person to be a humble servant of zenithar.

This is a good idea, one of the things we want to do with the temple quests is have the player make atonement for making poor choices, if the player is sent on a quest and fails to perform the deed according to the teachings of the temple, then they must make an offering and perform a ritual before they are forgiven by the priest, Until they complete it, they are given negative rep with the temple priest and will not receive any other quest or promotions.

This is a good quest for this, if the player chooses to kill the Khajiit, or if the player chooses to keep the stolen food or money (when given) they have made a poor choice, it will be recognized by the priest and the priest will tell the player they must make atonement for their poor judgement

Please see this draft, its kinda rough but it gives a more indepth understanding of what we are hoping to do with the Temple Quest
