Imperial Legion Draft
Hey,

I looked at the already present ideas about the Imperial Legion, and I saw Kukulza pitched the idea to merge the Fighters Guild and the Imperial Legion. I think this is a very bad idea: let's not change to much of the TES lore.

So I wrote a draft for a storyline + questline for the Imperial Legion, I hope you guys like it. It'll feature 10 - 15 quests, very few 'mainquests'.

[1ST]S[/1ST]toryline

The Imperial Legion in Vvardenfell is in serious trouble, even before the Oblivion Crisis Vvardenfell was a troublesome place but with many men called back to deal with the death of the Emporer, the fresh Imperial Commander of Vvardenfell is in big trouble. During the Oblivion Crisis many of the Imperial Legion died, and now Cyrodiil is calling even more men back. The Telvanni and the Mages Guild are making trouble and the political awkwardness between Helseth and Vedam Dren is rapidly growing.

Officially, the only local politician the Imperial Legion owes allegiance to is Duke Vedam Dren, but King Helseth is much more 'imperial' than the more 'racist' Vedam Dren. After Vantinius was killed in a duel, his successor left fairly quickly and was replaced by Carnius Rato, a young man with influential parents.

Carnius isn't arrogant, rather he is very inexperienced and naive. In quest 14 you are called by a messenger to get to Carnius as quickly as possible, for his live is in danger. When you get there Carnius is fighting an assassin, Carnius dies. You kill the assassin and the right hand of Carnius, a breton named Gerard Characel, will promote you to Knight Protector and promises to promote you to Knight of the Imperial Dragon when you track down the one who hired the assassin.

Quest 15 revolves around exactly that, you'll find that a temple extremist, head of a small group of temple extremists, has hired the assassin, though you also find evidence that Vedam Dren was involved. When you get back Gerard Characel promotes you to Knight of the Imperial Dragon and King Helseth speaks with you, asking you to keep Vedam Dren's potential involvement a secret because if you publicly accuse him, it will cause a severe rift in Vvardenfell.

Most of the misc quest revolve around internal affairs, recruiting new members and fixing the trouble between the Mages Guild and the Telvanni.

WOW, really nice quest. It seems spot on but I know very little about the Imperial Legion.
