Uvidium is a precious metal, comparable to silver in value. It's very rare, as there is only one known deposit of it - which as it happens is situated under Soluthis. Its rarity hasn't rendered it priceless however since the veins under the city are plentiful and there are no signs pointing to a shortage of Uvidium anytime soon.

Uvidium is used in the smithing of glassware items (MiscItem > ST > clutter > Dunmer > Upperclass). It has its own gem container, located at Container > ST > Rocks > GemContainers > StRwRockGemUvidium01. The payload is already set up but if you want to check it out its at MiscItem > ST > clutter > Gems > StRwMiscUvidium. (I know I've forgotten to make an icon for the ore. It's on my to-do-list.) If you're not an ST Modder or core member you won't be able to see the objects I just listed, but if I know you and you want to do this claim I'll send the stuff over.

There is a starter cell for this location, so to get started load up the interior cell SoluthisLoc006lvl1. At present you can't enter the mine due to technical problems, which you can read more about here. The problem will be remedied in the near future.

We have a cart and mining rail system which you should use in this mine. It's located in the list Static > ST > Dungeons > GlassMine. The next part is optional, but if you want you could also check out the Silgrad glassmine to see if you can use the mining system in the Uvidium mine. If memory serves me right the system in the glassmine lets the player whack at an ore container to produce ore.

Apart from that it's a normal moldcave, so you'll be using plenty of rocks (Static > ST > Dungeons > Moldcave > Rocks) and vines (Static > ST > Flora > Ambience > BitterCoast). I can't stress how much you'll be using them Big Grin They're the staplefood of moldcaves and without enough of them moldcaves look incredibly boring. As a rule of thumb there should be at least one rock and one vine for every tile you place. There's no upper limit apart from the overall max facecount of a cell, which is about 500,000. You should also place a few Drogo mushrooms (Flora > ST > Shroom > StFloraLnMushroom01a + b) here and there. You can use crystals (Activator > ST > Dungeons > Misc > StRwCrystalBlue##) as light sources, but since it's an active mine you wouldn't go wrong with using normal Dunmer lights either. If you do use crystals keep in mind they don't emanate light on their own accord. You need to place a light bulb near them. You can also use stock assets when they make sense, like the animated water dripper (Activator > Dungeons > Sewer > dripper01). But don't use stock furniture or other things like that, it's a Dunmer mine so they should use Dunmer stuff (including containers). Check out the Autumwater Caverns at SoluthisLoc001 for an example of how a moldcave can look - albeit that is a cave, and so it uses somewhat different stuff than an active mine would.

The larger the mine is the better, but three full levels would be ok. When you add a new level just give it the name SoluthisLoc006lvl2 and so on. If you like you can tweak the light settings of all the cells in this claim. You should have one or a couple of Redoran guards in the mine. Have fun!

Resources

You can opt to download Beremat's partially completed claim and splice in the contents of it in your own work on this claim. There is among other things a large rail system in it. Sandor has cleaned the plugin so you won't have to worry about problems by using it. To use it you can either treat it as a starter plugin, or you can merge it to your own plugin with TES4 Gecko.

My pet peeve: huge images in img code. I reserve the right to make any such image into a clickeable thumbnail whenever I see it.
