Hmm...

Wouldn't it be possible to script each crystal per floor, so that when you click, you have the choice just to go up or down?

Or the one at the very top, to take you straight back down to the bottom floor and vice versa for the bottom floor's crystal?

I was trying to think how it would work for NPCs, can they make choices like a PC can? I don't know I've never really used the CS...

Avoid scripts, they're doors. NPCs can't click on the messagebox.

Just have two crystals in the intermediary levels.

___

Floor 5, one upcrystal to F6 and one downcrystal to F4
___

Floor 4, one upcrystal to F5 and one downcrystal to F3
___

Floor 3, one upcrystal to F4 and one downcrystal to F2
___

Floor 2, one upcrystal to F3 and one downcrystal to F1
___

Floor 1, one upcrystal to F2 and one downcrystal to F0
___

Floor 0, one upcrystal to Floor 1

Simple.

yes thats a clearer way of representing what i was saying, although with a crystal that takes you between floor 0 and floor 6, otherwise it could be quite tedious getting to floor 5 or 6.

Thats my whole point about feeling like your on an elevator

(where's the cheesy music)

you could actually use an elevator, ...a platform, scripted for the up and down stop and start, when player stands on it, it starts up and stops only for a few seconds at pre-designated areas (scripted) and then continues, if the player gets off during one of these stops, the platform remains

now if the player gets back on, payer then gets a choice of up or down, that may make the scipt a slight bit more, but I still thinks its workable

still doesnt resolve the outside flying stuff

Enjoy

There is one aspect of The Telvanni you guys might consider.

They are a survival of the fittest, magic-strength based society. And one way of demonstrating this was that you have to be able to spell cast lev to visit certain areas, or be able to afford a lev potion ... / scroll.
Because loyalty is not to be spoken of and honour is to be endured. Whilst courage is to be survived. These virtues belong to silence.
