Right, I have installed the download, but nothing seems to display properly.

I also get a ton of error messages about dialogue. What have I done wrong?

On the first issue, you'll have to be a bit more specific

The Dialogue problem is normal

My question #1

Silgrad is GOTY dependent so you do have Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon installed ?

If so go to your Morrowind File and copy and paste your warnings

My Question and resolve #2

C: Prgrom files/bethesda/morrowind

find your morrowind ini file it will be roughly 25kb and be type
"configuration Settings"

copy and paste it somewhere will you will not loose it, then go into the original (not copy) and open it (it will open in notepad)

look for your FPS settings this should be about 7 lines down under MAX FPS=240 type in this

AllowYesToAll=1

File/Save... this will allow you to bypass all the dialogue errors which are part of the Bloodmoon expansion by adding the button "Cancel" to your message box, just Select "Cancel" and it will zip right on through

Enjoy

Yes, apologies for not being clearer.

None of the new meshes and textures display at all. Instead I get the yellow boxes with exclamation marks indicating missing textures. Somehow the CS is aware they exist but cannot connect to these files.

I will try the Bloodmoon error fix you suggested. Thanks.

I'll still need to see your warnings.

One of the things about extractors is they don't always extract correctly, you may need to go back into the Zip file and pull some of those textures and meshes and copy them directly to your data files directory

I've run into this issue many many many time :eek:

just send your warnings, zip it and attach it to your post

Will do. It must be a common problem.

Perhaps for the final release you should consider a BSA, along the lines of the ones made for ST for Oblivion?

Edit:

I can't find the file "Warnings.txt" Where should I look?

Also, I tried what you reccommended. I must have done something wrong. The text as it stands is:

Show FPS=0
Max FPS=240

AllowYesToAll=1
;-1 Use raw data, 0 Use Newer, 1 use Archive Only
TryArchiveFirst=0

Can you help me correct it please?

Sorry to be causing you so much trouble.

Howdy Deeza,

this is how my Morrowind.ini looks like in the first 15 +/- lines:

[General]
;Test TES 0=morrowind.esm

;Starting Cell=Pelagiad
;Starting Grid X=0
;Starting Grid Y=0
Allowyestoall=1

AllowMultipleEditors=1

Show FPS=0
Max FPS=240

;-1 Use raw data, 0 Use Newer, 1 use Archive Only
TryArchiveFirst=0

I'm not sure, if the position of the "Allow ..." lines have any impact, but this is how it works for me. (btw you can leave out the line

AllowMultipleEditors=1

I just like to have the possibility to open more than one CS)

If you want to learn more about the tweakings for the Morrowind.ini, have a look at Yacoby's ini tutorial; I always found it extremely helpful.

And the file "Warnings.txt" can be found in the Morrowind directory, the same one where you find the exe-files for MW and the CS and also the Morrowind.ini.

Hope that helps a bit.

Greetings,

Quentin

and mine as well,

Deeza yours should look like this minus the AllowYesToAll=1, because that is what you will add

[General]
;Test TES 0=morrowind.esm

;Starting Cell=Pelagiad
;Starting Grid X=0
;Starting Grid Y=0

Show FPS=0
Max FPS=240
AllowYesToAll=1

This should when opening the CS add a "Cancel" button to your message box (dialogue warning) using the cancel option allows the loading to run through the dialogue errors

;-1 Use raw data, 0 Use Newer, 1 use Archive Only
TryArchiveFirst=0

Warnings should be

C:/Program files/Bethesda Softworks/Morrowind the ini file should just be named Morrowind and look like a notepad with a gear on it (that how it looks to me anyway Confusedhrug:

Let us know

Very strange. There doesn't seem to be a warnings file in that folder.

I have attached a picture showing you what's in that folder.

The other picture shows my .ini file. That doesn't seem to be working either.

Sorry about this guys. Thanks for being so patient. I may simply have to make it using default assets after all.

You don't suppose it's something to do with my using vista (it wouldn't surprise me in the least if this were the case).

By the way, I'm moving house tomorrow, so I'll most likely have no internet for the next few days. After that we can take this up again.

Thanks again for being so patient, guys!
