Name of Seamless Transition Town
I personally like Reman's Gate, and Gatestead.

Remans gate after Reman III who invaded Morrowind at the end of the first era in what was called the Four Score War.
Maybe have a Fort Ruin that served as a mass burial site duing the Four Score War.
It would give the town some background, rather than just being a trading town on the border IMO.
Maybe have the town built on top of some Indoril ruins. It would make sense that Reman III built a fort at the site where a Dunmer stronghold that he destroyed was.

EDIT:

:alert: Village is under Imperial Influence.

I voted for Holdgate, and in addition, I suggest that the name of the old Dunmer stronghold that used to be on the site should be Abatarnabi (literally forbidden-passageway in Aldmeris-dunmerified).

This would presumably still be the name that local dunmer use to refer to it.

Good idea.
Should it be Indoril or Velothi architecture?

Why would it be Indoril? If you consult this very useful map: http://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/?image=g/..._data/maps You'll see that their territory is way out in the East. Is there a specific lore reason Indoril would be here?

I would personally go for Velothi for the old town ruins (a pass like to Cyrodiil would be a vital strategic location and so would have been fortified from the very earliest times).

Where are going to place that village?
Eidt: I haven't seen te other post.

You should give only dunmer city names for dunmer cities. Try to avoid as much as possible to use imperial names for dunmer settlements and even cities.
Imperial villages should have imperial (english) names.

Edit: It's an imperial village.
