Elsweyr Modding Alpha file set releases
Elsweyr Confederacy Distribution

The files required to mod for the Elsweyr Confederacy are now available.

Region generation is complete, so there's lots of landscaping to do - most of the resources for that are available. There are also a few interiors and exterior locations needing work.

In common with most of the project teams, we are not making these files freely available; so if you want to join in please sign up in the thread The Team and Introductions.

The Elsweyr Confederacy is in closed modding alpha release status - that means you need to be a modder for us in order to have access to our resources.

We really need modders, though, so if you want to join in then just introduce yourself in the team thread and let us know what you want to do!

The download links for the latest version are below. The resource files are password protected: I'll send out the code to the team - if I forget you send me a nudge by PM.
The current distribution list is:

To mod you will need:
  • The base package
  • The LOD file
  • The BSA additions
  • The latest esm patcher

The base distribution package:
ElsweyrConf-0-02-03.7z

Containing:
Elsweyr - Resources.BSA
Elsweyr.esm
Elsweyr.esp

There is no upgrade path from previous downloads - sorry: too many updates.

The LOD file
ElsweyrLOD-0-02-03.7z

Containing
Elsweyr - LOD.bsa

This has changed quite a bit since the last release, so I really recommend downloading it.


BSA Additions
None at present
Containing:
Elsweyr - Resources Update.bsa

This file is used to add more resources. It's supplied as a separate bsa file so you don't have to download the big file for every update. There's no separate version at the moment - there's an empty one in the main download.

You will need to add both the BSA files
Elsweyr - Resources.bsa, Elsweyr - Resources Update.bsa
to the line
SArchiveList=[...]
in your ConstructionSet.ini

If you have elsweyr.esp enabled then it shouldn't be necessary to add these entries to your Oblivion.ini as well.

ESM Updater
None at present
This is a program to update your copy of the elsweyr.esm file. It works fine, but got too big for a sensible version for this release.
There is no updater at present- download the full release.

Status

Release 0-01-03
Region generation is complete
There's an initial set of LOD files which we won't be updating often so they're in a separate download.
Now starting to ship updates - I'll try to make these version independant - patchmaker says it can do it: we'll see.

Update to Version 0-01-03
OP heavily updated.

I'm switching to a different release process: I'll now create links but password protect the BSA resource files. I think that's more useful. Passcode available on request - I'll PM it to the team now.

I'll try to leave the main resource BSA fairly static and put changes into a second BSA so the download is as small as possible - you'll need to add the new BSA to your .ini's.

Updates to the esm will be by binary patch - according to the software it can handle multiple version updates so hopefully I can ship a one-size-fits-all update. We shall see.

I'm a bit confused. Once I get version 0-02-01, what update do I need for it? Or I don't need any updates?

The latest version was a big enough change that I re-issed the whole thing as one file. There are no updates.

You need the base distribution package:
ElsweyrConf-0-02-01.7z

You also need the LOD file to appreciate the scenery properly
ElsweyrLOD-0-01-02.7z
It's a bit out of date but good enough to be going on with
