Wip Dunmer Scroll Shelf Need coments - xchaosdragon666x - 01-06-2006 Right now im working on a scroll shelf. somewhere to place the countless scrolls you can Find thorugh the game (All Coments Welcome) These pic's are just the basic out line .: Will Be Added:. Texture Dunmer Theme .: Maybe Added:. Molding Botom Shelf Doors Shellf Hardware (Ie Hinges) - Razorwing - 01-06-2006 What an excellent idea! A scroll shelf would be highly useful in the mod, thankyou so much for doing it! It'll be sure to be a common sight in many shops. The only suggestion I can think of is to ask you if you could chamfer the edges a little bit? (oh, and sorry for editing your post but I think pictures display better on the forum with linked thumbs rather than large (img):d ones) - xchaosdragon666x - 01-07-2006 Ty for the huge complement and by chamfer you mean where the boards over hang a lil like looking at my tv stand thing the top over hangs the side Now to make a seemles texture with out using the dunmer texture lol I found out what chamfer ment kinda a bevel like if you were to sand-paper a edge And sure ill just build the plank's out of cylinders scalled to a board ANd should i chamfer the crosing boards? - xchaosdragon666x - 01-07-2006 I cant seem to be able to do a chamfered plank lol i try to do it wiht a cylinder the only 2 sides have a chamfer lol any way i can get you to upload a chamfered box? - Razorwing - 01-07-2006 Yes, sandpaper is an excellent analogy. Chamfer is just what the procedure is called in max. Alrighty try this one, it has a chamfered box in .3ds and .max format, with one end completely flat (to go against the back of the surface). Let me know if it works for ya ![]() - xchaosdragon666x - 01-07-2006 Yeah this is going to work great Im gona re asemble the entire model with this plank if you dont mind that is As you notic in the pic there was something wrong with the back face on my plank - Razorwing - 01-07-2006 Quote:Originally posted by xchaosdragon666x Oh, ok. Sorry to cause you extra work. If you want, next time, I could probably take a look at the model in Max and add chamfer where you feel it's needed? I don't mind at all. Keep up the good work ![]() - xchaosdragon666x - 01-07-2006 The model is done now minus some alighning to the crossboards And main thing the texture lol Edit: You think you have the time to do the alighing?.... its bed time here lol - Razorwing - 01-07-2006 Nice, it definetely looks more natural now :goodjob: Texturing is often the hard part, at least for me. I attached a couple of wood textures from 3D Studio Max that might be useful, in case you don't have them. (the source files actually are jpegs) - xchaosdragon666x - 01-07-2006 Woot I think i got it done Thank for the texture but i used a texture I moded from the eye candy 5 texture pack ![]() And now for the finished product (may add a back board to it but that may be a lil much... let me know if i should) ![]() |
