How will house Dagoth factor in? I don't remember reading much about there involvement, but I have to reread the plot discussion threads anyway.

I doubt the sixth house will try to summon any daedra.
They arent exactly friends
- X23 - 04-09-2006
I don't mean house Dagoth summoning Daedra, I mean their general involvement in the main quest.
- Axen - 04-09-2006
House Dagoth summoned a few Daedra to guard their strongholds, actually.
- Harikari - 04-09-2006
I don't think they do, the devs probally (in tes3) put them in there for the sake of having something tough in the bases beside sixth house members

You could find this information buried in the Main Quest threads, but the Dagoth plans currently are for them to be a remnant in hiding for most of the game. You may stumble across them once in a while, but there's nothing epic going on. However, after the Astronach Cult expansion, there is to be a Temple vs. Dagoth expansion MQ. This involves either House Dagoth striking pre-emptively in an opportunistic manner or the Temple deciding to unify the Dunmer on Vvardenfell and reestablish their cultural influence by eradicating their old enemy. Either way, at this point, the Player can join either the Temple or the Sixth House and fight it out.

not much time, not much time...
Firstly, some facts....
on Daedric Cults
- Ayelieds, maybe you could find like 2 in Ebonheart prisons but that's it, they are radicals, most Ayelieds would rather see a strong revolution in Cyrodiil than a weak uprising everywhere
- the Atronach Cult is devoted to the Atronachs. They are serving the Atronachs who are led by the Monarchs, these super-atronachs are cutting deals with the Daedric Princes to get support and Daedra
- House of Troubles is sort of loose confederacy of the largest cults on Vvardenfell where Daedric worship, though illegal, is still strong. These are the Bal Ur Molag Bal Cult, the Indoranyon Mehrunes Dagon Cult, the Ald Daedroth Sheogorad Cult, and the Zergonipal Malacath Cult. These guys are actually banding together to provide a stronger front when Dagon invades to try to ensure his success for their own reasons.
- Sheogorad was thwarted by Vivec long ago, Mehrunes has been defeated twice, Molag Bal did have a victory on Vivec, and I don't remember Malacath ever fighting Vivec. However they probably all hate him for being so powerful. No doubt, they want to torture him. I am thinking that the Four Corners of the House of Troubles conspires to capture Vivec and imprison him for torture later as they are directing invasions onto Nirn. So they have the Atronachs do that.
- There are two Daedric Cults that are not in the same league but not in competition, Atronach Cult, and House of Troubles
on more secular stuff
- House Dagoth, not a huge fan of Daedra, rises up to try to crush all Temple and its supporters (stil strong) on Vvardenfell. During this time, the Daedric Cults shut themselves in to survive
- Vivec returns shortly as he is needed and you help wreak havoc (not easy) on the Atronach Cult, but mysteriously leaves later after announcing his new plans for the Tribunal that are being carried out
- He will play a short role in a future mod of mine if possible.... about his wars against the Dreugh
:chaos:
****just remember, since the Atronach Cult is imprisoning Vivec, they have a special leverage that the House o Troubles does not have. If the House pisses off their master for not killing enough, too bad, but the Atronach Cults responds to the Atronach Monarchs who "feed" on primordial chaos, like Dagon on War and Hircine with hunting, etc.

also, Oblivion Gates are opened by both House of Troubles and Atronach Cult...
But only Atronachs come through their gates and maybe we will retexture it...
you will hear that Vivec had disappeared but you will not know how. You will also hear of the rising power of the Daedra. It is the House of Troubles that has the generic Portals and the Atronach Cult that opens the specific one to capture Vivec, basically one in the Ascadian Isles.

Our Ashkahn has spoken. It also seems that the point of having additional Oblivion gates is not to drag out the MQ from TESIV, but to make new elements (sort of like the other Daedric quests in Cyrodiil, two of which used gates of their own). As long as the whole plot isn't the player entering and shutting it down, I have no problem having gates appear with good explanations. Just none of the "been there, done that already" feeling.

This is starting to sound EXTRemely interesting
Who is planning the atronarch cult? I probally need to discuss my quest line and theirs, as it seems like they would collide
