- bob196045 - 04-30-2007 Howdy Thier should be something to do Actually in Morrowind to join the Morag Tong you had to prove yourself by assasinating Feruren Oran at the Elven Nations Cornerclub in Vivec, after Ferurens' death Eno admits you into the Tong. (thats the way its suppose to work) However completing the Mephala Shrine Quest will also give you admittance, though it isn't really a Tong Quest. I like the idea of having a "loyalty quest" to join. Maybe recover something that the DB could have taken from the Tong, something of not so great value but which has meaning to the Tong Enjoy Bob To join the MT - Oblivioneer - 04-30-2007 Quote:Originally posted by Seniosh Just yesterday I started on a quest for the MT that was becoming pretty complex though not necessarily difficult in the sense of requiring a high-level character. The quest may not be what people have in mind but let's leave the question of joining the MTopen for a while so some actual proposals can be submitted and discussed. - Seniosh - 04-30-2007 Well i would LIKE to leave it open for as long as possible, but joining is the first quest i need to make. I'm not quite at the questmaking point yet, so we should have plenty of time to discuss this, i'm just under a slight time constraint. Bob196045 When i say having a quest at mephala's shrine, i don't mean the actual vanilla OB daedric quest (if there was any confusion) I'm talking about a quest i make that's perfectly suited to the MT. Basically it's a more creative way to have a basic assassinate x person and you can get into the MT. - bob196045 - 04-30-2007 ![]() Just a bit of confusion, cause I didn't even see that reference to Mephala in your previous post :pop: I was referring to what was done in MW with the Morag Tong I like your idea on performing the task, when the player enters the Tong to join he/she is given the task to recover and present the skull to Mephala :goodjob: Difficulty to aquire this would depend on what level range we want to make the tong joinable....have we considered this yet? or is it a non issue Enjoy Bob - Seniosh - 04-30-2007 Hmm that is good question... Do we want the MT to be do-able at all levels? I'd personally advocate giving each quest a "level range" Prehaps not be able to join MT before lvl 5? then have quests getting progressively harder, so that to beat the questline it's highly advised you be at least lvl 20. I'm really against being able to be guildmaster at level 2, so i'd like to impose at least some leveling ranges in here, i'm just not sure if i'd have to create new leveled lists, ect. So i think what i might do is have the MT joinable at all levels (really aren't going to be less than 4 or so when joining MT anyways), but have quests get progressively harder, whether through monster scaling or just plain old hardness. Thanks for the feedback, anyone else have any Join-Quest ideas? - bob196045 - 04-30-2007 Definitly leveled joining 5 sounds good for starting and just like the guild system the player must meet certain criteria to gain level in guild I got no idea what those are in OB Enjoy Bob - Seniosh - 04-30-2007 Oh man i completely forgot that MW guilds have level requirements! you see, oblivion guilds have no such requirement, and it slipped my mind. Level requirements on the ranks is a definite methinks. Anyone object to leveled joining and level requirements for the ranks? - bob196045 - 04-30-2007 no objection from me I did not know that either - Trankintor - 05-01-2007 I think it sounds good, and for that, you can make the quests so that you have to be a specific rank to do it, and thus you can make them harder, soving that little problem(if it now was a problem ![]() - IAMTHEEMPEROR - 05-01-2007 I DID study WWII ![]() Anyways, how about you ask about rumors near some town, and some Dunmer will say "They say sometimes very dark people walk through here, in the direction of that old Daedric shrine near here. We've told the authorities of this strange behavior, but they never come back." Then you ask about the shrine. "Yes, the shrine. It's not to far from here, X Direction from town. Why? You aren't actually going there, are you?" Then you can either answer "Yes" or "No". Answer yes. "Fine, your funeral, granted they ever find out you're dead." Answer no. "Wisely thought, s'wit. Stay away, unless you like death." So you go to the shrine, and you see the big statue of Mephala in the middle. you walk around for a minute, and then a message appears, saying "You hear footsteps approaching. Find somewhere to hide" There is nowhere to hide in, but there will be a small side room in the large room for you to dive in and hide behind some crates or something. Then a bunch of cloaked figures enter and start doing some ceremony for Mephala, and one of them says "We know you're there sera, you can come out." So you do, and one of them approaches you, the same Dunmer you talked to in the town who led you up there. So he talks to you. "Hello again, sera. I see you had the courage to come up here. That is good. You also kept yourself hidden very well, you show some promise." so you ask "What is all this?" Then he says "This is the assasin cult of Mephala, none other than the Morag Tong. You have just taken a test, and you passed. What do you say, would you like to join us?" then you ask "What test?" "Yes, whether you knew it or not, I was testing you. You showed no fear in coming up here, and your stealth is adequate. You are fit enough to join us as an assasin." Then you can answer "I'll join" or "I'm not ready yet". Answer I'll join. "Congratulations. You are now accepted as an Associate of the Morag Tong. You will now report to me at X Location where I will wait. You will get your writs of execution from me, but ask around, I'm sure your fellow brothers will have a writ or two should you ask. Now go! Tell no one of what happened here!" Answer "I'm not ready yet" "You seem ready enough to me. I trust you. You will have more time to think about your desicion. Meet me back where you first spoke to me if you change your mind. But if you even THINK of telling the guards what you saw here, you will not live to see another day." So then, if you are stupid enough to challenge the Morag Tong and go squeal to a guard, you will be attacked by an assasin that night, a really strong assasin, and if you live you will never be welcomed into the tong ever again, and entering any of their guildhalls will be certain death. How's that? |
