great idea dude! with hundreds of scrolls this thing will definatly come in handy. id sugest you use the standard dunmer wood texture so that it fits more with the game. you could also texture it with the other textures (de p, de rp, de r, com p, com r) that it cam be used in all ints and fit seamlesly.

I would use the dunmer texture but bethseda kinda baned that in oblivion
But i could proply try and imate the dunmer collor and use my texture

Nah, don't use any of Bethesda's assets, it'll just end up being more work since they have to be replaced.
Lady Nerevar: The model isn't meant for Morrowind, and we can't legally use textures from TES3 in Oblivion mods.

now duh it isent for me
(OB will have tons of scrolls too, like mw). now that you cant use the same textures was new to me..... why? anyhow, the texture still has to match the other de_ furnichure that you guys will have... and that texture dosent seem very dunmeri to me. (sry)

But couldent you chamfer the edges on the shelf in max?
And the texture i used i post a few post above this one
But if you want as bmp would only take a few seconds to re do it

Hehe, though I thought I had made myself clear I feel an urgent need to explain what I intended to say when I re-read my post after your comment.

I think that all the work done so far is of excellent quality and I admire your work immensely.
Second: my previous statement is caused by a few things I stumbled over recently, which led me to the assumption that some after-work might be necessary once Oblivion is released.
- the fact that Bethesda made extensive use of various maps (like bumpmaps, specs etc.) which might need to be created for our models
- the fact that we don't know how our stuff will look like once it's in the game
- the fact that Oblivion might hold textures in stock for us that are better suited to our needs
In my opinion these are things to consider and have a closer look at once Oblivion is released. It is quite possible that all these considerations are in vain, but I like to be prepared.
Third: my previous statement was fueled by various comments I read somewhere that the models we're going to use for Oblivion look ... not good and are definitely not up to Oblivion standard.
I consider this extremely futile since nobody knows how the stuff will look like and I wanted to tell the unbelieving Thomases that they should hold their comments until it is the right time and not discourage people, who put a lot of time, effort and creativity in their work.
This is unfair.
I hope that I could clarify myself and I'd like to apologize again for any misunderstandings or hurt feelings I might have caused.
