Forests - nerbod - 04-06-2006
As there were no forests in morrowind, will there be forests this time on that island? what are the ideas on this?
- Lady Nerevar - 04-06-2006
hm... leme think....
..vardenfell's cimate is to harsh to suport segnificant vegitation...the only areas able of suporting sparse forests would be the valleys of the west gash... there are no mentions of forests in lore....there were no forests in tes3....
therefore, my asumption would be no. although i have no idea what the people actualy making the mod will do...

The closest thing to a forest would be in Solsteim and that's more Skyrim.
just lots of mushrooms

I think there is supposed to be some kind of mushroom forest in Zafirbel Bay.

No forests. Forests just aren't Vvardenfell.
- KuKulzA - 04-06-2006
there is a sort of forest, it is along the Azura Coast and in Zafirbel Bay, it is a mushroom forest of sorts

Mushroom forest would be really, really cool. I say run with it, there's still plenty of room for desolation in central and northern Vvardenfell.

I do like the idea of a mushroom forest personally.
It wouldn't hurt lore and I bet the reason they didn't do it in TES3 is because of fps and lag

notice the Azura coast had the most mushrooms anyhow... seriously... it might as well have more adn be the mushroom forest that surrounded Sadrith Mora in the early TES lore, but the island shape was later changed... and the sadrith forest no longer an official place, but now it is

Well also some time has passed so you could get away with saying a few new mushrooms have sprouted. I guess.
