Question about morrowind border - souljourner89 - 04-25-2006
Hi I was wondering about how you guys would do the border betwean vvardenfell and cyrodill. Is it going to be a gradual change in the lanscape or more abrupt? Another thing is do you guys know if there will be like a loading screen when you cross the border or more seemless like when loading into a new cell in the wilderness?

border? we are surrounded by the inner sea... ask Silgrad Tower, they have the Velothi Mts. on their border which borders Skyrim and Cyrodiil
in other words we are the big volcanic island, Morrowind is a big land mass with an island in the middle of it...

Im not asking what the borders are but how your going deal with them when you get a new province done like vvardenfell.

he basicly answered your question: since the sea is a border, it will be a teleport (in the forum of a ship most likley). unless im sadly mistaken, in wich case id like to say that thats how i think it should be done.

I'm hoping that our worldspace will be joined with Silgrad Tower's... it's all part of the same province, after all.

it might, it might not, we are two mods that are affiliated...
but not the same, we have separate agendas but similar needs

You should like be able to swim the sea if you really want to. That would be cool, I think.

Well there is actually a sliver of land betwean cyrodill and the actual island of vvardenfell which would be the silgrad tower project.

I wouldn't call it a sliver... not that small

Well thanks to the Velothi Mountains the Cyrodill Morrowind Border has a nice big buffer in which all the climates change without the players knowledge (allowing for very abrubt changes in flora, fauna and soil composition. Once you get through you will immediatly be greated with the strange sights and smells (Black Rose) of morrowind.
As far as the border to Vvardenfell? There, too, is a big buffer (of water) that can allow for abrubt changes if need be.
