Possible retexture for Rimmen - Guiles - 09-17-2006
Hey, just wanted to throw these out there and see what type of response they get. They're a retexture of the lower-class Skingrad houses to be possibly used with Rimmen. Do people think they look appropriate? Something you'd be likely to find in an Imperial desert city? Thanks for any feedback - this is my first time retexturing anything.

In all honesty, I don't see any problem with it. Maybe a bit more sand and dirt? Not my call though.

They don't mix with my Arcitecture, and I have already made an LC and a MC.
I recomend that you make a start on retexing some Leyawyn houses for use in other cities instead

You are making LC TOYB?
- The Old Ye Bard - 09-17-2006
Yeah, I posted the FINISHED(Ints included) version last night. Check my thread

I saw those ones, but they seemed to be suited more for the poorer part of the city - the LC Skingrad houses are more for the main part, I think, and the regular textures just didn't look they came from a desert.

Ah, but we plan to use both stock oblivion, and skingrad LC homes.

i think it looks great.

speaking for some one who is not on the team, and therefore no one should give a rats ass about what i think, i too, like it...
its kind of dusty, just like a destert town might fell like... adds to the flavor of the desert.
it would be hard, though, to make a town out of those buildings in the desert and have it not seem out of place.

Well, Rimmen is sort of on the cusp of the desert, I think, and protected by a rather big mountain. I think you still get the dusky feel without the middle-of-the-desert dirt-is-everywhere feel.
